How we doing gang? Haven’t been seeing a lot of movement lately. I know @Hoid Slayer you were scheming up something, but it’s been a week since you posted and if you can’t get that thing going, any of us that are waiting on you should probably find another scene to occupy themselves with.

wdym? regarding "staying on the era 1 thread"
-
btw how are folks doing? some scenes just wrapped up and I don't want people to have nowhere to go. @Akimikoisthecutest I know that you wanted to head things, but you don't seem particularly active as of late.

side note for y'all: I'm thinking of (probably next era) turning Belias into a big bad as he finally can invade Alleycity. My current plan is as follows (contains spoilers for what's going on with Belias and Perses, and will go into spoilers for what I'm planning to have happen, so only click if you want that mystery to be unveiled out of character):
-
Belias, Mistkeep, Wickwillow Manor. The fused knocked on his doors. What did the weak one want this time? He opened his doors to the parlor, making sure to keep the room appearing relatively normal. @CoderDrag0n8

Midas, New Hallandren, Garrison Again, no sign of them lying. “Well, unless Limel still needs things from you, you’re free to go. We have your details and testimony logged, and your compliance will be noted.” @Hoid Slayer @KnightSkye Reforged @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @Ink and Embers
-
Midas took this in, glancing at Limel to make sure he was writing this down. "So the fused, Ebon, you called him, is working with Perses?" Midas was legitimately caught off guard. He knew Perses was operating in New Hallandren, but the garrison had assumed he was just getting black market wares, not actively causing trouble in the area. He also wasn't known to collaborate with many others. "Fascinating." Midas had trouble reading spren, but he could tell that Cayansa's spren was just as afraid as Cayansa was. "That's quite alright. Thank you for your compliance." He turned to Starseeker, the Radiant Returned. What a fascinating combination. Midas converted to the Iridescent Tones after arriving at Alley City, something that many, including the Nalthinians, thought quite odd. He had seen godhood firsthand, and while Returned are nowhere near as powerful as the Lord Ruler, they too were slivers of infinity, in their own way. There were many gods of the Cosmere, and many more beyond that. However, even gods were not above the law in New Hallandren. At least not anymore. "And what of you? Any further information you or your spren wish to disclose?" @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @Hoid Slayer

Midas detected no tells. The radiant seemed to earnestly believe what they were saying. Midas had to admit that it was possible to have a reformed fused, but he would believe it when he saw it. His lifesense alerted him to the presence of a spren entering the interrogation room. Such a thing shouldn’t have been possible with the door closed, as the aluminum lining should have prevented it. That was a good sign this room needed an inspection done on it. The spren approached the radiant he was talking to, and though he couldn’t fully see what the spren was doing, he could guess. “What did the spren tell you?” Midas asked, more harshly than he intended. Being unable to know what was being said annoyed him. “I can tell when you’re lying, and if needed, we can detain your spren and interrogate it separately.” Midas hated dealing with Radiant Spren, but the job sometimes demanded it. “Ideally, your spren would turn visible and tell me themselves.” He turned to the other spren in the room. “That goes for you too” @Ink and Embers @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren

Belias, Alleys, Belias' Domain Belias observed the exchange, amused. He could easily have killed the radiant, but it seemed the small ones didn't want that. Where was the radiant's spren? Oh, but spren were so delicious. Their power strengthened him, expanding his presence, both in the Alleys and on Alleyplanet. “Can you find me an exit in the Mistwarrens?” Belias did not know why Perses bothered with such a creature. They were clearly weak, assisting only in the short term. He will never join the cause. Belias had half the mind to destroy both the radiant and the fused now, to save Perses the time. But his apprentice was already wary of Belias, and his trust was waning. Belias could always....no, he could not. Not yet. In time. Belias shifted his realm to reveal an exit. "This will take you to the mistwarrens," He boomed. @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren ................ Perses, Miskeep, Wickwillow Manor Perses emerged into the heart of Wickwillow Manor, and he gained a new sense. Perses instantly felt the entire space of the Manor, with all of its mind-bending power. He could feel the floorboards, and could warp them to his will. In here, he felt like a god. Het he knew it was not truly his. Belias could revoke this power at any time, and he would once more be ordinary. For now, he was a god. But how long would that last? Belias' domain in Alleycity had expanded quite significantly over the year. Where it had just included the manor a year ago, the space now expanded to nearby houses, covering the entire block. Luckily this was in a fairly remote space of Mistkeep, but more and more people have been wandering into the Manor. Belias ensured that if they saw too much, they would never emerge. Perses used the power of the manor to travel to the outskirts of Belias' domain in an instant. Like the Alleys, this place didn't obey the normal rules of space. He couldn't go beyond the bounds of Belias' control, but the matter within that space could be manipulated in any way he chose. A consequence of this, however, is that the objects that once acted according to the natural laws of the universe now...didn't. As he traveled, Perses knocked over a vase. Instead of falling to the ground, the vase kept its horizontal momentum, crashing into the wall, and splatting against the wallpaper. The shards of what used to be porcelain oozed down the side of the wall, in a jelly-like manner, some of it seeping into the wall. Perses didn't react. He had gotten used to never knowing what would happen when interacting with objects in the manor. Perses opened the door to the outside, which acted normally. Both Belias and Perses had made sure not to interfere with any of the outside matter, as doing so would raise even more suspicion than Belias' presence was already accruing. Well, that was exhausting, Perses thought. Time for some tea. Midas, New Hallandren, Garrison Midas gave Limel a withering glare. He was utterly miserable at interrogation. He turned to look at the trio. "We know you all interacted with the Husked One. Unfortunately, the witnesses that we have spoken to so far were too far away to know what you had said to them." Midas leaned forward in his chair. "We want to know what you know about why the Fused caused the explosion at the crater, and why you're protecting them." @Ink and Embers @KnightSkye Reforged @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren
-
Perses, Alleys, Belias' Domain Perses let out a deep breath and put his hand to his head, gun still in hand. "I don't have a use for someone like that, but if you do, he's all yours" I can't believe I'm doing this. "But if he runs and word gets out about all of this," Perses said, "Its on you." With that, Perses walked into the haze and disappeared. @CoderDrag0n8

Midas, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison. Midas gazed intently at each person in turn, looking for any potential tells of deception. Slight discoloration in their face, moistening of the skin, or subtle alterations of pitch. He did admit that the additional heightenings granted by his status as squad captain did a lot to help his interrogation skills. Thus far, nothing appeared to be amiss. One of the radiants was clearly nervous, but that was evidently more due to being detained rather than trying to cover up a lie. “I was with Cayansa, in the Sphere. We heard and saw the explosion, and went to try to help any injured and do damage control or stop a fight if there was one,” answered the Radiant who appeared to be the most seasoned of the three. "The usual stuff Radiants do." Midas nearly rolled his eyes at the remark. He was beginning to understand his people’s hatred of Radiants in the future. They always talked as if they were above all those without a bond, as if it was their fault they didn’t have a bond. Always so arrogant. ”Alright. And when you three got there, after the explosion, what did you see? What information did you gather while you were helping those affected?” @KnightSkye Reforged @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @Ink and Embers
-
Perses, Alleys, Belias’ Domain ”Take him with us? Where? Why? You think he’ll make a nice pet?” Perses couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “How would keeping a Radiant around help in the slightest?”

Midas, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison Midas sat the first group of detainees down in the aluminum-lined concrete box of a room. Unlike the rest of New Hallandren, this room was dull and brutalistic, built purely for function and not for beauty. Still, Midas' biochromatic aura managed to create color from the drab beiges of the prison-like box. There were small variations in the makeup of the concrete, with different thicknesses of when the beige coating was applied. The door was a dark grey steel, yet it still had ever slight color differences between the different welded plates. The biochroma heightened this contrast, making the room look speckled and intentional. Midas wondered what such a power would do to his homeland, if the individual flecks of ash had differing hues. He supposed he would never know. "So," Midas said, addressing the trio. "Why were you at the site of the explosion?" Midas had his own suspicions, of course. They were Radiants, and Radiants came to help. The blast was seen in the entirety of New Hallandren, as well as in neighboring districts. With something like that, it would be anomalous to not have Radiants on the scene. But still, policy demanded he question them. And though he doubted they had anything to do with the events that occurred in the southern part of the district, their knowledge would help the garrison get to the bottom of what did happen. @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @Ink and Embers @KnightSkye Reforged

I mean, first we finish off this scene, and depending on where what happens with it, we can figure out what to do next. Perses will likely head back to Wickwillow Manor, where I can describe the oddities occurring there, and potentially use that as a plot point if folks want. However, the Crimson Breath and whatever is going on in the underground could also be valid plot threads to pursue.
-
I mean, if you want the crimson breath to be a leading part of the narrative (which you would probably have to head), that can certainly be done. I'll be opening episode 2 with the interrogation scene, which could either be used to further the plot or be used to further relationships with the three folks

hehehe that's partially why I tagged you

@Akimikoisthecutest @Argenti @KnightSkye Reforged @Hoid Slayer @Mistfallen Soldier @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @Ink and Embers @CoderDrag0n8 @Born of Mist @Steel Speedster @Qianweilian (I probably missed someone. If so, my apologies!) Every so often, I like to create a new thread to continue the story of an era. Usually these are separated into "episodes" with the purpose being it makes it easier and less daunting for new players to join in, as they dont feel like they need to read the last 10 or so pages of RPing. Looking at the current state of interactions, I imagine that now (or soon) would be a good time to open up a new episode. Nothing really changes episode to episode, it is pirely just to break things up a bit for new players. Is anyone opposed to me making a new episode thread?

Perses, Alleys, Belias' Domain Perses lowered his pistol, aghast. "Are you going soft on me, Ebon? You know as well as anyone I don't like killing just for the hell of it, but be sensible. This radiant knows we're colluding and knows about this," Perses said, gesturing to the empty void. "Sure, they probably aren't smart enough to put together the significance of it all, but if they talk to the right people, they can start connecting the dots. People are already beginning to look into Wickwillow Manor." Perses had worked with Ebon for a year now, and he knew Ebon was weak. He knew the guilt in his voice when Perses had told him to kill witnesses, and to torture information out of people. Hell, a part of Perses hated it too. He just wished Ebon had the strength to know when to prioritize power over morality.

Midas, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison Midas put on a soft yet patronizing smile. “Oh child, you have so much to learn about the Alleyverse.” He couldn’t answer all of their questions, but he chose to answer the one that would be most pertinent. He gestured to the lifeless guardsmen. “These are the recovered corpses of New Hallandren guardsmen that have died in the line of duty, given a false life from the magic of Nalthis” In truth, they deeply unnerved Midas, but he had grown used to them, as they truly were quite efficient. “Some day, I will become one of them, when I die. The skills learned as a guard are deeply valuable, and such things need to be preserved. Ah, we’re here.” The party had arrived at the New Hallandren garrison, just in the nick of time. Midas’ chromium reserved had nearly run out. He stopped burning chromium, recalled his awakened rope, and gestured for the rest of the party to do the same. Turning to face the prisoners, he issued a new warning. “You are now on New Hallandren official property, and will be treated as such under the law. While you are physically free, you are still under custody until you are questioned and released.” Midas paused for dramatic effect. “If you are to attempt to flee, you will be deemed guilty by the district of New Hallandren of whatever crimes are determined to have occurred at the explosion site, and will be dealt with accordingly.” “Now if you will, I will see the first group for questioning,” Midas said, gesturing to the two radiants and the returned. And with that, he entered the questioning chamber. @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @KnightSkye Reforged
