Janice shivers in the chill of the night, then scans the deck and points. "There!"

"Cadenza first."

Janice's Traces begin to burn. No! No, not now! She starts to panic, until she feels something else. Something... different. Janice draws upon her pain, and somehow creates an explosion of force on the ceiling, blasting apart the frozen crystal and shearing a hole through it. She falls to her knees, gasping from exertion. What had that been?

"I wouldn't know. I'm not a spren." -
"Could you... talk to whoever's on it, maybe?"

The bullets smashed into the wall of ice, cracking it but not coming through. "Cadenza, now!" Janice yelped. The soldiers began to reload their weapons. A few faster troops shot again; these bullets broke through, but missed. The epic theme for the car chase scene with Nick Fury in The Winter Soldier began to play. @Condensation

"What? You mean it's in the Cognitive?"

"Lloyd! You're okay!" "Yeah, freeze the roof."

The sick-like feeling of sadness and fear threatens to surface over Janice. She closes her eyes, and turns her head away from Quin, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

"I'll never forgive you."

"If you hurt him, then I'll... I'll..."

"Can't you just let us go? We're leaving and we're getting Aryanna back."

Janice looked at the rifle, her breathing turned shallow, then stepped between Quin and Lloyd. "He's my friend," Janice says, "you can't hurt my friend."

Janice remembers seeing planes on the surface of the carrier that were totally there. "Let's get to the surface."

Spotting the broken-down laboratory up ahead, Ayia curves her Line upwards, skating along it until she reached the end, at which point she hopped off. The Line shot back up her sleeve, and Ayia took both her metal rods, placing the ends together and attaching them to each other. She held on with both arms until she was a good ten feet off the ground, at which point she Stabalized the rod; it held still by itself in the air, and she swung in a full arc around it, breaking her momentum before she fell again, casting her Line down and sliding down it like a pole. -
Something passes by the ship. It can't be seen; most of the people on the ship aren't even aware it's there. Because it's in the Cognitive realm. @Frustration @Spren of Kindness

"We need to get out of here!" Janice decides. "We need to go, and get Aryanna back, then... go somewhere. Anywhere where we'll be safe."

"This way!" Janice decides on a whim, running back the way they came.

Janice pushes open the door, running out before the guards can see her. She doesn't know where she's going, though.

Nobody answers; the guards had run to Janice's room to check the commotion. Janice tries the door: it's locked.

The guards burst into Janice's room at the crash, standing dumbfounded for a second at the gaping hole in the wall. "Yours." Janice decided, then dashed for Cadenza's room.
