It's a howler--a quiet howler--from Jeana the Wandmaker. Hey, honey, how ya doing? I honestly hope your day's been goin' bad because this is going to make it! Turns out that the Silver Lime Wood was basically begging to be paired with those Khyrstos hairs you brought me. It couldn't get enough of the stuff, mm-mm! Ah, but if you ever get into the wand-making business, hon, then you remember that you aren't supposed to give a wand two cores, you understand? It might explode, or... or something! I've never seen it happen, 'cuz I ain't stupid enough. But enough ranting. In that box right there, if you haven't opened it yet like a true gentleman who reads the letter first, is your wand. You hear that, honey? Your wand! Try not to lose it. It's Silver Lime, Khystos Hair core, just over eleven and a half inches long, and that thing is never gonna leave you, ya hear me honey? NEVER. It is loyal as a wand can be. Just perfect for a handsome young gentleman like yourself. Just be nice to it, honey, mmkay? I get the feeling that it won't be too happy if you don't give it a proper cleaning every once in awhile, and wands can do some nasty things if they feel like you've been mistreatin' them! Anyways, honey, I hope it serves you well. Make sure to write to old Jeana every once in awhile, mmkay hon? I get lonely when handsome young fellers like yourself pretend like I don't exist. The owl circles its head around, which (godmod incoming!) you're pretty sure is the owl equivalent of rolling its eyes. It pushes its package towards Alex; a package labeled with his name.

An owl carrying a package lands in front of Alex, squaking profusely and glaring at Alex expectantly.

Fadran hears something buzz from his backpack. He opens up the pack, taking out a small box. He opened up the lid, taking out the letter that Chris had sent him. He pocketed it for now.

Chris finishes composing his letter to Fadran, placing it in a small box and shutting the lid. When he opens it again, the letter is gone.

"I guess we'll ask Jay."

Janice looks around the mainland. "Where do we go from here?"

After what felt like an eternity of basically falling sideways, Janice reached the shore. She turned around, anxiously bouncing on one foot as she watched the others come.

Janice started skating across the ice; or, rather, hobbling across it, arms outstretched to her sides to maintain her balance.

Janice hesitated, then jumped, sliding down and almost falling over. She just about slammed into Cadenza.
