    The Sea of Monsters movie was released on Riordan's birthday, and the author claims that he had never had a worse birthday present. And I wouldn't say that he was repacking the formula... okay, actually, he totally was, but each series has been unique enough that it works. (Riordan's one of my favorite authors)

    "Only two." Fadran said, then pulled out a dagger and pressed the tip against his can of whipped cream. "Cherkov's guns!" He poked the can, and the whipped cream exploded into a massive cloud of goop.

    Fadran hesitantly took her hand--hopefully not in any way that seemed creepy--and Forged a weak Spirit Bond to Herate. Trying to connect to another location through someone else's Bond wasn't exactly an easy process, but Herate's connection with Daolan was strong enough to make up for the Ambiguity.
