    "I'm fine. I'll be fine. I've dealt with explosions before. At least this one didn't have much shrap--" she hesitated, then looked down. "Aww, crap." She pulled up a bloody hand from her side. "Okay. Yep. I'm dying."

    "There've been about..." Trace counted on her fingers, "seven large expeditions to kill her, and hundreds of other smaller ones. None have succeeded."

    The instant the message was finished, an incredibly old and angry-looking woman opened the door. "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO???"

    Trace laughed sourly, though there was some sadness behind it. "If only we could do that..."
