    Who here has heard of L. Ron Hubbard's "Writers of the Future" contest?

    No one? No?

    Well, I just entered it for the first time since I learned about it--which was about two years ago--with a fantasy narrative two years in the making: Wishing Away. It was once called Life Awaits, but I changed the name to fit the theme a little better about... fifteen minutes ago?

    Anyways, it's a pretty prestigious contest, so while winning is unlikely, it's certainly a huge hope of mine. One of the judges is Brandon Sanderson, so from the day I get my results, I'm totally going to flex on y'alls all like: "Yeah, Brando Sando might've read my stuff. Once."

    But... yeah. This is a pretty big achievement for me, so... hooray!

    Wendy breathed heavily, barely aware that she was sweating bullets all over her face and Robin's dress. Would Robin blame her for betraying them to save Arabella? Probably not, but still... "I... I'll tell you what I know," Wendy whimpered. "But you need to prove to me that Arabella's alright first."
