  1. "I just realized that you never told me what your name was."
  2. "And who the heck is talking?"
  3. "This mornin'." Katie swallowed her mouthful of soup. "I had to fetch 'er from the Raveness."
  4. Katie looked up from her third bowl of soup and said through a mouthful of potatoes "oh hello again!"
  5. "It's less explosive than mine." Janice did a two-armed shrug. "I'd trade you any day."
  6. "Just stay still. I'm sure you'll be fine." Janice was in pain herself, though she didn't show it. She didn't know why, but not all of her wounds were healing properly. Blood was running down her back from the only half-closed slices. It wasn't like she wasn't used to pain, though. "So... slippery? That's what your Aspect is?"
  7. "Y'know, maybe you should invest in a shirt. You'd get sliced less often."
  8. "If you're not in too much pain that you can joke, then you're not in too much pain to keep your mouth shut." Janice examined her handiwork. "I need to be able to think here, and all this noise isn't helping."
  9. "Well arms are important too!" Janice balled up the makeshift bandage, then pulled off the rest from her arm to replace it. As an afterthought, she grabbed a few more and tied it all to his arm as tightly as she could.
  10. "Just a flesh wound? You're not the one with the magical healing powers, you moron!" The black-and-blue wrappings were beginning to darken from the blood. "Just don't die! Cadenza'll keep us safe."
  11. "Well everyone here's pretty nice, I think. Even if they did hate you they wouldn't act like they did."
  12. Janice paled at the sound, then whipped around and grabbed Corwin, pulling him away from the yevon. She worked off of instinct alone: a strange force that had been ingrained in her mind while Trace had been inhabiting it. Janice pulled Corwin close to her, then turned her back and put herself between him and the yevon. Claws raked down her back, but whether or not she screamed, she could not tell. It didn't matter anyways how much damage she sustained, as she quickly redistributed the pain and blew the yevon backwards with a burst of force so large that it also knocked aside several nearby yevon. "Cadenza!" Janice called, praying that she'd get the message just at one word. She dropped Corwin to the floor and tore off the wrappings down past her elbow, pressing them to his arm. "Hey! Corwin! Say something!"
  13. Ayia shot back towards the main group, nearly grayscale at this point. "Kay, so if I know anything about magical monsters, it's the dark spheres that we're gonna want to attack."
  14. Tomrin took that in like a champ and patiently awaited his death.
  15. Ayia, frustrated by her lack of ability to damage the monsters, shot towards Tvora. “Kid! What do you think you’re doing? Get the scraps outta here!”
  16. Fadran frowned as his hand passed through Tvora. "Don't think that just because you're intangible I'll let you fight. What I said still stands, kid."
  17. Janice frowned. “I don’t wear too much stuff. And I find being shirtless disgusting.”
  18. "Yay!" Katie worked at her soup with the same ferocity at which she'd gone through all her apple juice.
  19. "D'you think I can come with you?" She was on her third cup now.
  20. Katie guzzled down her apple juice in four seconds flat, asked for a refill, then answered, "I dunno. What're you gonna do?"
