Ellis frowned. "I thought you just wanted it."

Ellis looked up at Q and Gerald. "You mean they weren't completely dead?"

"And it can... bring people back to life?"

Ellis let out a breath and took the amulet from Gerald. "What... is this thing?"

He let out a breath. "Okay."

"Long story." Ellis replied. "But I brought you guys back with it."

A blinding white flash filled the room.

"I'm sorry, does nothing about 'she just died and we need a moment' mean anything to you?"

White mist condensed around Calcifer. His sword began to glow.

"So it is." Calcifer said, stepping towards it.

Cumulo rolled ihs eyes.

Calcifer held up his hand. "If what you say is true, then no harm will come to you."

Ellis pulled her close, holding back tears of his own. "Y...yeah. I guess I did."

"Go find someone else's apartment."

"Wait here." Calcifer said, stepping out and closing the door behind him. He knew better than to give a creature permission to enter someone's abode.

"How exactly do you intend to kill me? Are you going to hit me with a wave of power? Stab me with my own sword?"

He opened the door slowly.

Calcifer readied his blade. "I'll go get rid of whatever it is. You stay here."
