  1. Eyyyyyy, mae g'ovennan!
  2. He stumbled, fell away, and crossed his arms in front of him. Selil growled, reverting back to the most basic of defenses. This this really could kill him. Selil warped away, vanishing and appearing across the hall. He gasped, catching his breath.
  3. They were clashing, fist on fist, in an inhuman scramble. Dark sparks seemed to emanate from each strike, wisping away into misty tendrils. It was a creature of Mordite? "Summon Corundum!" Selil shouted to whatever guards might remain. @xinoehp512
  4. Selil yanked on the blade, then leapt backwards as the creature started to move. He was somewhat confident that he could draw the blade back out, but that wouldn't achieve anything. Clearly, normal methods wouldn't kill this thing. Decayed flesh. Powerful bones. It could contort, and was seemingly immune to pain. Was this thing even killable? Covering his exposed arms in hard iron plating, Selil put himself on the defensive. Long fights required reading: so he needed some actions to read.
  5. Time slowed. Selil's eyes narrowed, calculating. This creature was inhumanly fast, and that blade could snuff out a Narrator's life in just instants. If it really did exist to kill Narrators, then it would have almost no trouble doing so. But Selil wasn't just any Narrator. He growled, swished his cape-- Appearing behind the creature, Selil whipped out his sword and swung at its back.
  6. I'm hoping they might be shape-changers, like Beorn? But I don't think that makes too much sense. Some shmuck thought they were the Rangers. I laughed at them.
  7. "Cooperate, creature," Selil said, "and I won't have to kill you."
  8. ...we have a one-minute teaser trailer

    *cough*

Kay. So do y’all know about my character Ayia from Fellowship?

    ‘Course ya do. Moving on.

I’ve been writing her backstory (which will get posted eventually), but am faced with a rather difficult problem:

How in the world do her powers work???

So basically I’m asking for some worldbuilder assistance. I’m at a loss - which doesn’t usually happen - and I need to figure this out.

    Aight thanks bye

To Coinshoot: First of all, science and magic are the same thing. In any hard worldbuilt setting, magic is part of the science. In other news, the spacetime thing could potentially work...? I think I'd have to tack on more abilities to make that work, though, which I don't really want to be doing.

To Frustry: That was the original idea, but then it's just "wizard can affect metal," which is literally the entire premise of Mistborn.

To Dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnex: I'd have the magical object-making be a soft-ish system (probably with a number of magical items she can keep on her at a time, a cost to make new magical items, etc.). Also she does have more than one staff - lots and lots of extras

      Do you need more suggestions?

  10. Elya glanced over at Ji. "Is everyone else alright?" @Mystic Syn
  11. “She said she was a scholar,” Elya recalled. “I wish I could remember more. It was information I’d deemed unimportant at the time.”
  12. Ellis hopped onto the motorbike, pushing the Amulet’s power away once again.
  13. Selil held up a hand. “I’d like to say that I don’t either, but unfortunately… I do.”
  14. "How about no. Not in my palace. Guards!"
  15. "Then what do you intend to be doing?"
  16. "Werewolves sound interesting," Zen replied, nodding. He started hiking himself up a nearby hill.
  17. "Why were you chasing him in the first place? Pheonix is harmless."
  18. Pheonix? One of the newer Narrators, Selil thought. He was less... dramatic than most.
