Vance reached into his jacket and brought out a single wooden disk engraved with a series of symbols. It wasn’t technically his - she’d told him to use it only in emergencies, and not at all if possible - but the thought of letting anything wait and die and in pain so long…
He drew upon the talisman’s power, feeling it flow into and rejuvenate him. Vance steadied both his blades, bringing them behind him and crouching low. The air condensed around them again, enhanced by the talisman’s power channeled into his magic. He took in a breath, laying out his attack in his mind.
Sorry, Bunny, Vance thought to himself.
Another slash: both blades leaving a blinding arc of power from the ground to the air above his head. The shockwave let out a crack, buffeting the three of them in a harsh wind.
When it settled, the Bunny had stilled - until it teetered forwards, and its head fell clean off.
