  1. “What direction were you tracking it to?” Vance asked.
  2. Vance had all his things loosely roped together, so all it took was three seconds and a single knot to pull it back together into a pack. ”Everyone else ready?”
  3. “The tiger, you mean? They don’t care for the forest any more than you care for me; if even it did, I would wish it to rest assured that it isn’t the forest that I seek to destroy. We have dug up one tree and will leave having done just that.”
  4. “Do you intend to kill to cease the killing? If that is the case, then I will have no qualms towards killing you as well.”
  5. “Unfortunately, I have struck a deal that doesn’t permit that course of action.”
  6. Quendi had already put herself between the workers and the… tiger… person… thing. She gripped her staff tight and stared it down. ”You’re a ‘guardian,’ you say?” Vance stumbled back from the woods, quite proud of the hole he’d dug to relieve himself. “We’ll be headed out as soon as everyone’s awake. I think that leaves just Kealie.”
  7. After successfully making an alliance with the Eakirandi Empire, Not-Luxembourg threatens the Siwuuila Dynasty with their monsters. The Siwuuiloadan princess escapes her captivity and flees across the border into the Siwuullyad Kingdom. She is captured by the king and his guards, who are baffled that she has escaped. Eventually, they discover that the Siwuullyadin princess is none other than the princess of Siwuuloala, who had been missing for years. The king decides that she must marry his son, and take over the throne. The princess refuses, however, and vows to marry no one. One day, a strange woman appears before her: the god of fate, Dabael. She tells the princess that she cannot marry the Siwuullyadin prince. Dabael explains that the reason she was kidnapped by the Siwuulidoans is because of a prophecy. That prophecy says that one day, the Siwuuliadan princess will cause the downfall of the Siwuuuloala Dynasty. If the Siwuullyadin prince marries her, then the Siwuuiloadi will fall, and the Siwuuullyadin kingdom will be destroyed. The princess is shocked to hear that, and begs the god to free her from her destiny. She wants to marry the prince and rule the Siwuullan kingdom, rather than destroy it. But the god refuses. The princess is furious, and curses the gods. She uses her magic to turn Dabael into stone, and buries her under an abandoned temple. Uhh.... lore? I think Siwuulia and Siwuulidoa are two different places? Imma say they're both clans of the same country.
  8. "Does that kind of thing happen often?" Fadran opted not to acknowledge the fact that he was being addressed by a large toddler.
  9. The Commune of Vandora furthers their studies into the new metal, so that maybe they can use it. At one point, they manage to create a new alloy that becomes stronger than steel, and is more resistant to heat and cold than normal metals. They call this alloy "dragonsteel." The Commune sends their dragonsteel to the Gahestian Empire, who are happy to receive it. However, when they try to test it out, the Gahestian army attacks them. The Commune of Vandora was not prepared for such a brutal invasion, and they lose thousands of men. Their king orders every member of the military to study dragonsteel until they can create a weapon that defeats it. That day never comes. ...
  10. Fadran entered the clinic. ”Hi, I’d like to get a flu shot.”
  11. “I’d just like two small samples.” Quendi raised two fingers. “A piece of this metal’s raw ore, and a piece of the refined material.”
  12. Update on Fadran:

Currently driving home from Utah. It was a short but fun trip. I met up with @Condensation and @Vapor and also their kitties. They were SO SMOL and SO CUTE and SO PRECIOUS (the kitties, not the girls). I wuv them.

I was up yonder in the first place for TwABC (which is like normal TABC but for tweens). I was volunteering, which went great. So many youngling authorlets! They were loud, but also really kinda cute.

Feel free to ask about it - a LOT happened. There was tons of organizational confusion, plenty of fun author classes, and also two minutes straight of children screaming when Brandon Mull came onstage to give a keynote. While I was getting some books signed by him I asked how often he gets confused with the other Brandon. I guess it doesn’t happen quite as much as it used to.

Anyways, service will be spotty at best on the drive home. I’ll reply to things as best I can.

    Kay bye

  13. Now trapped between myriads of wars and alliances, the Gahestian Empire decides to take some dratsic measures to increase their power. They send their Airships to the island where the monsterous race known as the Orchids were imprisoned: a land once ruled by the Commune of Vandora, now used only to contain the eldritch evil. The Gahestian ambassadors attempt to communicate with the monsters, hoping to learn of their eldritch magic. Unfortunately, the monsters are unwilling to help. After a few years, the Gahestians decide that it would be best for them to leave the island and abandon any further attempts at communication. ._.
  14. In the biyearly royal election, a new person comes to power. As the new Monarch of Serenitas, she immediately diverts all of the country's available resources to military research and strength, continuing the previous Monarch's decision of drafting children of 15 or older. With this new strengthened military, the queen launches an unprovoked full-scale invasion of the neighboring Siwuuila Dynasty. Queen Serenita is a strong ruler, and her armies quickly overtake the country of Siwuuloala. However, the Siwuuliadan princess manages to escape into the forest, only to be captured by a mysterious man who claims to be an explorer. She's taken to the Siwuullan kingdom, where she meets the Siwuullan king and his wife. The princess is allowed to stay in the palace, as long as she is willing to marry the Siwuullan prince. I think it worked? I'm going to say that the Siwuullan prince is the Serenitan monarch's son, acting as regional monarch or... something. By the way, the AI wrote out a whole super-contradictory love story for them that I decided to include because I'm nice that way:
