So the alphabet... isn't in alphabetical order. What's up with that? Here it is, phonetically:

And... we did it?
What? Really? It only took two permutations to put it in order? I went into this expecting to go through at least five, likely getting locked into some kind of infinite loop between the likes of H, W, & C.
I think what happened was that we got a bit lucky. First and foremost you have the E Gang (E - X) which have been locked into their order, meaning seven out of twenty-six letters are set. Similarly, I - Z are something of "Novelty Letters," which are pretty much just spelled exactly how they sound. R - H have managed to stick to the start of the alphabet since Mark II, and with D bringing W to the start of the alphabet, we've actually locked in Y as well.
