  1. Joseph stumbled suddenly, gripping his chest as a tearing sensation shook him to his core. It felt as if his heart were being ripped out. "Wha- The room shook, and a crack of pure violet light split the air. It shook again, and more cracks appeared. Then it shook again, and again, sending a shock of pain through Joseph each time the cracks lengthened. Joseph collapsed onto his hands and knees, struggling to stay conscious. "What is-what is happening?"
  2. "Very well. I'll get to work." The Dreamsmith closed his eyes, then opened them. A weapon appeared, a dagger dangling from his hands by what appeared to be nothing at all. "Here you go. You know, using a Narrator's soul to make these weapons is quite a bit easier than it is with other types of souls. Or maybe it's just the familiarity. I managed to make the chain half-real, so you can use it to bind your enemies, but also allow it to pass through their weapons when they try to block the chain. I'll let you name the weapon." He set the dagger with its invisible chain on a table in front of him, the door behind Sequence opening. "Oh, and before you go, I have a warning: Do not trust your memories. Some people have always been one step from the wrong path." The shadowed figure shivered, and pulled out his phone. "I'm going to call one of my... associates. He'll be able to tell us more about this place." Somewhere far off, but not so far as either of the pair would have liked, the first* eyes of the Hunger opened. *The Hunger has a lot of eyes, and if you're ever so unfortunate as to be hunted by it, I would recommend avoiding eye contact. Nameless blinked, eyes focusing. "Oh, sorry. My Author's been distracted. And don't steal my line." Jagged arcs of lightning shot out from his medallion and hit every Platypus clone at once, leaving only the original untouched.
  3. So you might have noticed that I've been less active than usual lately. That's because school's been really busy as I've been working on transferring to a new college for next semester and not one but two groups projects that have both been pretty stressful, not to mention finals coming up. My projects are wrapping up now (one of them by today, the other by next Wednesday) so I just wanted to let you know that I'll be back to being at least semi-active. Finals are starting next week though, so I probably won't be as active as I usually am until they're done.

Best of luck to you! I certainly understand the stress.

  4. Nameless nodded, then raised a hand. Tongues of fire lashed out, burning several Aes Sedai to cinders in moments. Before the flames had had time to die away, the floor beneath the Aes Sedai exploded and a wall of flames sprung up and incinerated those few who remained alive. “There. Now, where is that exit?”
  5. Nameless cut their weaves from the air. "Just to confirm, these aren't real people, right? Killing them isn't actually killing someone?"
  6. Nameless didn't move to pick up the sword. "I don't want to kill you. I just want to get rid of my memories."
  7. "I don't know if it will work, but you can try if you're certain you want to." "No. I just want to have the link to my past lives be the same as its always been, instead of strengthened as it is now." "I know what the consequences of the amnestics will be. I wouldn't have drunk them if I didn't. And as for the exit, it is..." Nameless finished his weave, and their surroundings shifted suddenly. "Very close. I couldn't exactly track it down, but it should be somewhere around here. "Nameless looked up, noticing Melody's past self. "Stop that please." A weave hit the box surrounding jar man and shattered it, then Nameless walked over and healed him. "Please, don't abuse drugs like that." @TheRavenHasLanded
  8. "What exactly will happen to you?"
  9. "I don't know. Whatever it was that jar man gave me, It's linked me to my past lives somehow. We'll need to break that link somehow to permanently solve this." Nameless shook his head. "If the effects are so terrible, don't do it. We have some time to find another option."
  10. "They won't work even once they do take effect. They'll dull the memories of my past lives, but not completely erase them." Nameless looked at Melody. "I'm listening."
  11. "Yes, I do." Nameless looked Rue dead in the eyes. "Whatever jar man gave me, it was too effective. Rue, I remember everything. Every memory from every life I've ever lived. Every time I've been spun out into the pattern." His eyes became distant. "I can't get it all straight. It's too much. I've lived and died... hundreds of times? Thousands? more? I can't... I can't handle it."
  12. Nameless was hovering in the darkness, an incredibly complex, half-finished weave of saidin in front of him. "It didn't work. I need a stronger amnestic."
  13. Nameless walked up behind Ezrium, holding a hand to his head. “It didn’t work. I need something more potent.”
  14. "Well, I'm confident that my servants will find him soon."
  15. "If I were you Reams, I would start running. I have a few of my more persistent servants hunting you as we speak."
  16. The music ended abruptly, and the necromancer's voice returned, much angrier than before. "It seems someone has indeed stolen a copy of the prophecy from me. You can tell this 'Reams' that he should not expect to live much longer. I do not take kindly to thieves."
  17. "Really? Well, let me check on that. Please hold for a moment." Sleeper's phone started playing some cheerful music.
  18. "Never heard of him."
  19. Nameless took the water and the jar, then wove an intricate weave of saidin and pressed it into them. "I don't know that either of these will work, but... they'll certainly help." He drained both the canteen and the jar, then sagged against the wall.
  20. "Too bad. Changing fate is difficult enough without people running around trying to stop me from doing it."
  21. "The source of all magic in my world."
  22. "Personally? From the same source as that of the Akladin prophecy? One or two. But in all of history, those prophecies have never been wrong."
  23. “You don’t understand. I remember everything.” Nameless shuddered. “This was a mistake. I need that water.”
  24. “So far? Always.”
