    I think that Hoid would have faked his death pretty well. Knowing him, he could probably stop his heart somehow. Either that or he'd just get stabbed in the chest or something, then laugh and run away.

    Following the oaths doesn't mean that you have sworn them. in Edgedancer, Lift had said the third ideal in her heart, and she never really struggled with listening. She just realized that she needed to do it. If Adolin somehow healed Maya, he would probably be ready for at least the first three oaths, but he would still have to swear them.
