  1. Their hearts became so heavy, in fact, that...
  2. What meaning did their lives have anymore?
  3. I know that, but it makes no sense that you could only take attributes using the heart. It's just the easiest way to do steal things.
  4. For generations, the Ghanderflaffles had always held to one goal, one command: RISE.
  5. There are non-heart bindpoints Unless you didn't see the hemalurgy chart that says: "There are hundreds of hemalurgic bind points on the human body" TLR doesn't get resonances. The amount of powers he has cancels them out.
  6. Granted. You can do nothing with your power. (Click the little eye on the top bar. No idea if you're on mobile.) I wish for everything.
  7. The emperor of the Ghanderflaffles decided to make a speech. "THE GHANDERFLAFFLE EMPIRE IS AT IT'S HEIGHT! OUR FOES HAVE FALLEN, THE NARRATORS HAVE ABANDONED THEIR PEOPLE DO DEATH AND DESTRUCTION. WE RULE TRIUMPHANT! THE GHANDERFLAFFLE EMPIRE IS NO LONGER RISING, WE HAVE RISEN!"
  8. All right Emi, what's your rule?
  9. No, aluminum cannot do it anywhere. Yes, it works somewhere. That somewhere is probably the heart. No one would have any idea what it would do if it didn't work anywhere. Brandon has said that the easiest bind point is the heart.
  10. Well, no. I meant that only Bondsmiths and Windrunners, (Possibly Stonewards as well) get a "boost" from swearing oaths.
  11. Well, swearing oaths only really matters for Windrunners, Bondsmiths, and maybe Stonewards.
  12. And just as the emperor of the Ghanderflaffles intended.
  13. Which was very confusing. Or it would be, if Ghanderflaffles couldn't see through any disguise.
  14. The king, that was. Of course, he was secretly Uncle Brandy in disguise.
  15. The rogue Ghanderflaffles' journey was so long and so arduous, that they decided to go back to the Ghanderflaffle empire, where they were all executed.
  16. So they left to go to TST. But they couldn't get there easily anymore.
  17. But he could still not grant this request. "You know what our emperor has ordered. He tires of this perpetual rising and falling. No food shall be distributed until the Ghanderflaffle empire has reached heights so high that it can never fall."
  18. I think that Hoid would have faked his death pretty well. Knowing him, he could probably stop his heart somehow. Either that or he'd just get stabbed in the chest or something, then laugh and run away.
  19. Following the oaths doesn't mean that you have sworn them. in Edgedancer, Lift had said the third ideal in her heart, and she never really struggled with listening. She just realized that she needed to do it. If Adolin somehow healed Maya, he would probably be ready for at least the first three oaths, but he would still have to swear them.
  20. Well, the sergeant's glare doesn't work on other sergeants. That was the biggest plot twist in the book. I did not expect The Sibling to be a sergeant.
  21. At least it was only a toothpick. I guess Teft glared him into submission.
