    Nameless gasped. The darkness froze, then melted away. Nameless relaxed. Then he opened his eyes. They were pure black.

    Something changed. The whispers stopped. The darkness seemed to retreat, drawing into Nameless. Then it exploded outward.

    The tendrils resisted like nothing Ash had ever felt. They strove to overwhelm Ash, to corrupt him too. As he pushed against them, he began to hear a whisper in his mind: Wither all. Wither all. Wither all.

    Pain radiated through him as his Aether touched the tendrils. Nameless arched his back, mouth open in a silent scream.

    "Do you know where she teaches?" I don't know. I think they were trying to take me from Nameless.

    "Do you know where she is? Your teacher?" Because a narrator wanted me to.

    "Do you know how she was healed?" Moni absently continued scribbling on the survey. I have had one adventure before this. It... was worse than this one. I was narrated into stabbing someone in the back, which was... not fun. I hate fighting people. Wow Thaidakar, Moni would not be happy if she found out about this.

    Moni glared at him again.

    "But you didn't become a withergeist, did you?"

    "Who was it?"

    Someone appeared and explained Olive to Unintelligible.

    Are you a survey or a diary? I got summoned by Nameless before I could finish your story, then Thaidakar tried to convince me to go get killed, and then I tricked him into letting me teleport away to the Ghanderflaffle library where I could hopefully find a cure for Nameless, but no one ever... hold on one second. Moni looked up at the wanderer. "Hey, what were you going to say about someone surviving a wound like the one Nameless had?" "Who are you? And who is the Witherlord?" Nameless made slightly more conscious noises. The wound on his chest was looking very bad, and there were tendrils of corruption all over his body. His hands twitching.

    "All powerful? I'm not even a narrator. How am I all-powerful?"

    Exciting? It's awful. I hate dying, and I hate narrators. Why would I find it exciting?

    What do you mean? On this journey I've met a narratorgeist who tried to turn me evil, almost died a bunch of times, and met yet another narrator with a god complex. Where's the positive? Nameless made unconscious person noises. "Legendary warrior? Me?"

    Moni glanced up. "A survey."

    Moni made no reply, only continued to write on a piece of paper.

    Moni stared at him dully Why would I care about boring? Adventures aren't fun, they're awful. At least this one is.

    I mean, Nameless kinda created her that way.

    Oh, I wouldn't say that.

    One. And it's awful. I wish I could stay... I don't even have a home. Why don't I have a home?

    Don't give me that look. Sure, I changed the ending a bit, but the old ending was stupid.
