    You see, this dragon was quite a dangerously powerful plot device. Whenever people think of dragons, they think of "big strong monster". Because of this, the dragon will instantly gain quite a reputation. This gives dragons a great matchup against narrators. (Well, as much as you can have "great" matchups against narrators)

    Nameless rolled his eyes. "The Cosmere handled itself just fine after Adonalsium's shattering. I don't see why you need so many avatars. Just have a couple of them assigned to training people. Making a gazillion avatars was completely unnecessary."

    "So you have a bunch of avatars that are helping people deal with ordinary stuff that could be dealt with in other ways, and dealing with the consequences of using that many avatars? Why not just let the Cosmere handle itself?"

    Nameless rolled his eyes. "The universe maintains itself, for the most part."

    Nameless blinked. "What? I told you I might cut some extra connections by accident. It didn't help that you had so many of them. Why exactly do you have so many avatars, anyways?"

    Nameless slashed his hand down. Immediately, Thaidakar's pain winked out. As did his connection to about half of his avatars.

    "No need to worry. I can fix this quite easily. I just have to cut the corrupted connections away. Up until recently, this would have been quite easy. Now... well, I might cut out some uninfected connections too."

    Nameless stared into Thaidakar's eyes for a moment. Then he pulled out his sword. Or tried to. He glanced at his hand, surprised, then shook himself and coated his hand in light instead. "Your connections are being corrupted."

    Nameless grabbed Thaidakar and shook him. "Uh, you aren't looking so good."
