Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
NameIess replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Nameless put down his book. "When do I get my magic powers again? Do I have to go through a character arc first, or can I just do it offscreen?" -
He doesn't say it's not made of investiture. And many of the traits that are stored by feruchemy are not made of investiture. Heat isn't investiture. When you store your body's heat, you convert that heat into investiture, then convert that investiture into heat when you tap it.

Isn't it? What's your source on that?

Unless F-aluminum is completely different from all other forms of feruchemy, identity is investiture. The importance of this is that aluminum can interact with magic systems semi-normally. So it wouldn't make sense for it to be used to shatter Adonalsium, especially when we already have a pretty reasonable way for that to happen in the Dawnshards.

Moni began relating the story of the dog and the dragon to the survey. The weapon appeared behind them, staring at the closing portal for a moment before disappearing. The weapon shook his head. "We searched thoroughly, but the reproduced luxsprite was not there. The others must have taken it. We attempted to find them, but lost track of them after they went through some kind of portal." Nameless raised his eyebrows. "What are you doing here?"- 111868 replies

That aluminum is not antithetical to investiture.
-
It stores identity in the form of investiture.
-
Well, if that was the case, then what's chromium? It also removes metals. Aluminum removing investiture is just part of the magic system.
-
Yes. But it is a part of allomancy. And for feruchemy, you can actually store investiture in it.
-
It is also a part of allomancy, and is useable in hemalurgy and feruchemy as well.

Nameless gestured towards a nearby weapon. "Track them, please. They may have gained something of great import to me." The weapon nodded, pulling aside two others and disappearing to chase after the avatars. Nameless turned towards the temple, watching as the weapons razed it to the ground.- 111868 replies
