  1. "Yeah, I can get you some of that." Nameless snapped his fingers, summoning a metalmind filled with determination. "What do you want this for?"
  2. "NPC's are not narrators. You think I can make one of those? And if you can use any concentration, just make it out of thin air."
  3. "You see, the problem is the amount of feruchemical power required. At least for narrators, the type of concentration needed to use your power is tied to your powers themselves. You can increase it, but only so much. And storing that type of concentration basically permanently removes it." He brightened. "I could hemalurgically spike Thaidakar for his concentration! That's a perfect solution! Now, where did I put that Atium?"
  4. Yes. But that's probably because time bubbles are rather volatile.
  5. Meanwhile, Nameless was doing mental arithmetic to attempt to figure out how much debt he would have to be in to obtain 300 quadrillion megatons of hypercompressed strontium.
  6. "Wonderful. You know I can't just narrate that stuff, right?"
  7. "Alright. You want me to get... what, 300 quadrillion megatons of it? Compressed down to a reasonable size? Or will you need more?"
  8. Nameless dropped the knife, instead pulling out a waffle.
  9. Nameless dodged the chair, nodded to Dom, and pulled out a knife.
  10. Nameless responded by flipping a table and repeating his previous statement, but louder.
  11. Nameless finished reading Dune, and concluded that the only thing that Robert Jordan had 'stolen' from it had been the desert warrior culture of the Aiel. And that WoT was way better.
  12. In feruchemy, the metal 'keys' the kind of investiture you can store/tap with it. Change the metal, change the type of investiture you can store/tap with it.
  13. "Couldn't you just get a group of people to distract or otherwise hold the Witherlord back for a few seconds? Surely you could do something with your Silence powers that could temporarily hold him at bay."
  14. Nameless glared back. "That is true, I suppose. Stubborn refusal to admit that anything could ever hurt me is one of my best character traits."
  15. Feruchemy does invest the metals. Otherwise metalminds would not become more difficult to push/pull on as they are filled. The Bands of Mourning would not be almost as invested as a Shardblade. Metalminds would not fill up. And A-aluminum doesn't destroy investiture, investiture cannot be created or destroyed, only change forms. And again, you cannot create godmetals by soulcasting: Why can you create aluminum via that method, as both fused and human soulcasters are capable of? If aluminum was anti-investiture, why aren't there aluminum magic systems? Why hasn't aluminum become sentient? Why can it be made just like real-life aluminum?
  16. Nameless jumped backwards. "You know, now that I think about it, this thing would probably make quite the bang if it was destroyed. Wouldn't want that to happen in your base, now would you?" "Yes. But perhaps I should have tried less... brashly."
  17. "Look, I know your plan, and I think it'll work really well. You'll be fine." "Exactly. I was never going to blow this place to smithereens, killing Thaidakar, myself, Thaidakar #2, Moni, X, Thaidakar, and who knows else. " Nameless frowned. "Maybe I should have been more careful."
  18. "I think you'll be fine without my help." "Nice! But, uh, wow. I guess I could've wrecked the consultant's place, huh."
  19. "How exactly would I help? You sound like you have this covered without me." "What, did they destroy entire planets?"
  20. "Well then, I'm not giving you the converter. Which is more valuable to you: my converter, or decreasing the security of X slightly?" Nameless looked slightly dissapointed. "Only explosions? I thought it would be something more. . . you know."
  21. Okay. we don't see aluminum as a part of any magic systems besides Scadrial. But I don't think the solution is assuming that Scadrian aluminum is different from all aluminum in the Cosmere. Offworld metals are supposed to work for allomancers, and that should logically include aluminum. Edit- Zahel was talking about fossils, and he said that where he comes from, Nalthis, doesn't have any, as it's too young. Meaning it's less than around 10,000 years old.
  22. Aluminum functioning in the metallic arts isn't a complete anomaly. It works in fabrials too. feruchemy is the only thing that really stands out. And as for its creation, it's implied in RoW that Nalthis wasn't created by Adonalsium either.
  23. "Fine." Nameless took the medallion off and held it out to the Knight. "But I expect this back after you're done with it. And you have to let my avatar go as soon as the Witherlord is dead." "How so?"
  24. Scadrial is an anomaly? Do you mean that it was created by shards?
