  1. "Would you rather sit here until Abomination controls you? Thaidakar wants you."
  2. "Oh. Thanks. Well, all I need now is Mythos."
  3. "They're an unknown variable. Besides, I wouldn't want to interfere in their plan; it might actually work."
  4. "I don't know. Perhaps he didn't know of them. I believe they slumbered till recently."
  5. "The Skeins. They're a remnant of something from the time of the luxsprites. They're currently working with the consultants to kill the Witherlord."
  6. Nameless stepped out of the clinic, bag over his shoulder. He laughed internally. Now, what was it that Doomie said about the SA back half?
  7. "I am aware of this. But it is still possible. At least one fragment of luxsprite energy survives in the form of the Skeins. Why not one other?" -- A Blade pierced Rond's aluminum cell, cutting the door off its hinges. A weapon stood on the other side, face emotionless. He spoke in a flat voice. "Your presence is requested. It is of the utmost importance that you come with me immediately."
  8. A faint explosion sounded. Followed by desperate shouting, more explosions, and finally silence.
  9. Nameless snorted. "Fine. We'll do it your way. We'll rescue Mythos, then I will convince him to help me."
  10. "I... no they don't. And Mythos will agree to my terms. I can grant him one of his greatest desires."
  11. Nameless glanced at her. "Is something wrong?" "Mythos' dislike of me will not be a problem. And I know exactly where he is. Rond left a tracking mechanism on all of his experiments, which I have co-opted for my own purposes."
  12. "The Skeins are as of now not needed. Their intervention is to be avoided unless absolutely necessary. Mythos and a fragment of luxsprite energy are the only further ingredients that I require."
  13. "Yes, I know Mythos. I have need of him, if I am to properly create this weapon. Bring me the copied luxsprite and Mythos, and I can make the weapon."
  14. Nameless cleared his throat. "Actually, that was me. Mostly, at least." He turned back towards Thaidakar. "I can make a sword that can kill the Witherlord. I have all the materials and research prepared to make it. All I need is the smallest fragment of luxsprite energy. Which I have reason to believe your avatars might be in possession of. And also, I'm not chasing your avatars anymore. My forces lost track of them."
  15. "Hm. So your plan isn't that bad, actually. It would never succeed, of course. However, if we combine our forces... well, perhaps we could help each other."
  16. "You think I'm copying your plan? I don't even know what your plan is, this time."
  17. Nameless snorted. "I want whatever it is that your avatars stole. I would appreciate it if you convinced them to give it to me peacefully."
  18. Nameless walked to his room to collect his belongings, winking at Frustration as he did so. I guess I really am a viewpoint character.
  19. "Not much. This temple was the site of research into the revival of a luxsprite. They made some sort of 'breakthrough'. I'm not certain exactly what it was, but I suspect they believed that they succeeded in their goal. Whatever the case, they seem to have some sort of power source from long ago. Possibly a fragment of the luxsprites' energy. I came here to claim whatever it was that they had, but Micheal, Spook, and Lindy got here first."
  20. They're different forms of the same thing. Just like in real life where we have matter and energy, in the Cosmere we have Investiture, matter and energy, which can be converted between each other. That's what magic systems do, often enough. They convert investiture into energy or matter.
  21. Nameless nodded. "All right. I'll keep you updated on my condition. Can I go collect my stuff?"
  22. Nameless flinched slightly. "Really? That's cool. I'll request it from the library later. After I finish some homework."
  23. Nameless bounced off the window and fell to the ground painfully. "Right. I can't break the windows." He sat up, groaning. "Hey, @Doomslug The Destroyer, I think I'm cured. That knock to my head I got from trying to jump out the window completely removed all compulsion to read Sanderson books."
  24. "Hm. Let me see." Nameless ran for the nearest window, threw a chair at it, and jumped out.
  25. "I'm not sure. How do you tell without reading the book?"
