  1. The white tiger turned and bounded away, ripping open a portal back to the clinic.
  2. Nameless let out a sigh of relief, turning to blast the oncoming wave of chickens with lightning and fire. "You go on ahead. I'll cover your retreat."
  3. "No they're not. The clinic is still around. Thaidakar, Bookwyrm, all of them are still there." Nameless wavered, glancing at the encroaching chickens. "Look. I don't know the right words to tell you. But please, trust me. Come back to the clinic, and you'll find people who care about you there. I care about you. We'd all be sorry to see you die."
  4. "Do you want everyone who loves you to suffer?"
  5. "What do you mean 'why'? These chickens are going to kill you!"
  6. Nameless burst into the room, launching a fireball at the lead chicken priest and grabbing Emma's arm. "Emma, please! You have to come with me. They're not all dead!"
  7. "Great! Thanks so much. Gotta go." The portal snapped shut as quickly as it had opened.
  8. "I'm no one important. Everyone's still alive, right? They're not all dead?"
  9. A tiny gateway opened up in the corner of his room, and a voice came through it. "Hey, you! How's the clinic doing?" Lark groaned, sitting up. Really. Did I have to knock my head so hard? I really should make some sort of fall protection for this place.
  10. "Well, if this was merely an accident, I'm sure you won't mind if I leave?"
  11. Lark spun, momentarily bewildered before his eyes landed on Randon Fellow. "Why did you bring me here?"
  12. Lark laughed mirthlessly. "And that is where he failed. He made a clinic to treat a disease he never truly acknowledged as a problem. The people in this clinic, they're not merely super-Sanderfans. They're addicted to Sanderson books. After the library burned down, they began rioting within hours. They can't live normal lives because of their obsession with everything Brandon Sanderson has written. Calano lost sight of that, or perhaps never saw it at all. Either way, I'm in charge now. And I won't let his folly continue." Lark grabbed Ghalano's arm again. "Come on. Let's get back to the infirmary before someone assumes I've murdered you. Even if that leg of yours doesn't hurt, it needs to be checked out at the very least."
  13. "Oh please, of course I can. I'd kill you right now if I thought it would work. Calano deserves death for what he's done in this clinic."
  14. "Too bad. Even if you're not him, I can still feel Calano inside you somewhere. I will bring him back, and then I will kill Calano once and for all."
  15. "Hm. I would merely have thought that Eof would have been attempting to fulfill the prophecy and end all of this mess."
  16. Lark glared at Ghalano in anger. "You know, I've always hated you Calano. I wish I could just kill you now, but you'd just come back again, wouldn't you?" He grabbed Ghalano's wrist, turning and dragging him back to the infirmary. "No, I won't kill you just yet. I need to cure you first. Let you get a fair shot at reclaiming your clinic so that I can rightfully kill you and finally claim it as mine. Forever."
  17. "You're quite clearly not dead. At least not completely. And unfortunately, I need to keep you that way."
  18. Lark woke up feeling a little better, and decided to go check on Calano. Finding that he'd left the infirmary, Lark cursed, reaching out and finding Calano's presence among the vast multitudes of patients, and teleported to him. "Calano, what do you think you're doing? If you die now, they'll all blame it on me. I don't have the strength to fight them all again, not if I want to have the power left to improve this clinic."
  19. At least when combined with the power of the key. And lo, our intrepid party of heroes escaped from the depths of the toilet, and set out once again on their quest to stop the vile Foe.
  20. As it turned out, one of those spells happened to be a regeneration spell, so the monster finally stayed exploded.
  21. Lark's eyes returned to normal, and he deflated, looking very worn out. "No, it's not a bad time. Welcome to the Insanity Clinic for the Moderately Brandonfandonitis Afflicted. I trust you'll *yawn* enjoy your stay. I am the head doctor. Please ignore those rifts, they'll disappear once the treaty finished repairing itself. Thaidakar here can, hm, assign you to a room, I suppose. He'll show you around the zzzzzzzzzzzzz" Lark's head dropped to his chest, and he fell asleep on his feet.
  22. Esmerelda considered attempting to hack the beast to death, but decided against it.
  23. Esmerelda watched, somewhere between horror and awe as the beast alternated between exploding and being consumed in darkness.
  24. "ANNOYANCE?" Lark's eyes went jet-black as he stalked towards Thaidakar. "You think I have done all this to be an ANNOYANCE?"
