  1. Enraged by his father's death, Tarell, new emperor of Nam-Ed, turns to his country's greatest weapon: The undefeated Demigods, gift from the gods, destroyers of Vandora, bane of the Quonshi. Tarell's orders to the Demigods are simple: "Make Gahestia pay for what they did to my father, my country. Burn it to the ground. Leave no man, woman or child alive anywhere within the borders of Gahestia."
  2. This anger caused him to devour thirteen apples.
  3. Unfortunately, he quickly lost the right to rule via section 83, clause 15 of TLT law, also known as the 'no Bobs allowed to rule rule'.
  4. And so yet another chapter in TLT history came to an end, making the way clear for a new chapter, one filled with just as much creativity as the last. ...Hopefully. Or maybe we'll just spam 'suddenly, pineapples' for the next twenty pages.
  5. Well, this was fun. We managed to make it last an entire... 9 pages?!?! Wow, things really slowed down. Perhaps its best if we let these new characters rest in some forgotten corner.
  6. Asela turned towards Everyone. "You are of the old world?"
  7. Asela stared at the decaying web that was her world, Gourd standing on her right, ghost of Kurucu on her left. "I think... I think I'm too late this time. Or maybe it was just never possible in the first place. The old world is back. really back, and I don't think there's any power left that can seal it away again." She turned to Kurucu. "Unless you know of a way?"
  8. Meanwhile, Asela was trying to get Gourd to negotiate with death. "Don't worry child, it won't be as bad as you think. Just give him something that you find incredibly personally valuable, and don't leave any loopholes in the agreement. Oh, and don't touch him. Or take anything he gives you that you don't specify to be safe to take in the agreement. And also don't look at his eyes too closely. And make sure not to get caught up in visions of your dead loved ones. And-sorry, you don't need all this help. You'll be fine! Trust your instincts."
  9. Asela nodded gratefully, taking the cup. "How've you been?"
  10. "Death! I've come to talk. Again. Can you come out of your cabin?"
  11. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Still have no clue. Unless maybe it's because llstml sounds almost sort of like Lessie? Or are you saying Nameless=faceless immortal?
  12. "Fortunately, Death and I are old friends."
  13. No. Why do you ask?
  14. They looked suspiciously Ghanferflaffle-ish, in fact.
  15. Lark was too panicked to take notice of her.
  16. Asela shrugged. "Exactly what is sounds like. A world that existed before ours. Most think it destroyed, but I believe it is still there, behind some kind of barrier. That barrier has weakened, over the years. More and more things from the old world have begun popping up in this new one." She furrowed her brow, staring off into the distance. "I don't much like the outworlders. They're strange. It's like they don't quite work on the same rules that we do."
  17. "Kaos?" Lark knelt next to Telrao, drawing on a power he knew he didn't have anymore, had never had so freely, giving the cat back the power of human speech. "I don't understand. Please, this isn't right. None of it is right. I'm not in charge. I'm barely even allowed to treat patients! And there were never any restrictions on the books. Not since Calano took back over. The patients weren't restricted. They were- they were-" He crumpled, voice breaking. "What is going on? How is this all happening?"
