    If you must not believe in beings that are or were considered gods no matter how ridiculous the claim that they are gods is in your opinion, then very few atheists exist. You seem to be arguing that anyone who admits that beings exist that you consider to be gods cannot be an atheist, and I disagree. You say that the Shards are gods. I do not agree with that statement

    Let me put it like this: belief that Harmony exists does not mean one believes in gods, because Harmony is not a god. He has no authority or understanding over the afterlife, and that alone precludes him from godhood in my mind.

    I don’t agree. Some civilizations believed that their leaders were gods. Many atheist historians believe that those leaders existed, but deny their divinity. The definition of an atheist is not “someone who does not believe in anything supernatural” it is someone who does not believe in gods.

    The brave adventurer shrugs. “No idea how many there are. Some of the ones I know about are names Vengeance, Unity, Drama, Analysis. Stuff that’s a part of Plot, the more essential the more powerful, in general. I think Vengeance got an extra dose of power despite being fairly nonessential, but the others I’ve seen seem to follow the rule.”

    The brave adventurer shivers. “You know, I never thought I’d make it this far. I thought we’d all die almost as soon as we entered this place, but here we are. Almost to the castle, about to confront him.”

    Once his daggers are properly sharpened, the brave adventurer stands up. “All right. Let’s head to the center and confront the ruler of this realm once and for all.”

    The brave adventurer grumbles quietly, pulling a whetstone and sharpening his daggers.

    I start a prison riot in order to raise an army of sandwich thieves.

    I appeal all the way to the Supreme Court, and they decide that your contract was in fact invalid due to the payment being given under false pretenses. Then I take the sandwich back.

    I hire a lawyer in midair, and he voids all of your contracts, resulting in gravity and wind returning to normal and the sandwich falling onto the plate that I place below it.

    The ground shakes beneath your feet, causing you to trip and drop the sandwich into my waiting hands. I fly away propelled by a gust of air.

    It’s been a while since I looked at the stuff he did, but he claimed to do stuff like surviving a leap off a cliff into a river and causing a relatively large metal box to float with a single breath of air. He’d hide it because as far as we know a full feruchemist hasn’t existed since Sazed, and keeping his powers secret gives him an advantage.

    That’s probably because I’m the only one who believes it. Basically, I noticed that a lot of the stuff that Jaks claims to have done could be explained by feruchemy, in particular how he claimed to have licked a vein of tin in order to burn it. That would be highly unlikely to work with allomancy as impure metals would make him sick, but with feruchemy impure metals only lowers efficiency.

    As cool as this theory would be, I have to say that it’s false, as “Allomancer” Jaks is clearly a full Feruchemist, not a Mistborn.

    Back in normal space-time continuity, the brave adventurer manages to maneuver one of his daggers in such a way as to cut through the energy holding him.

    As I said, Shards are not gods in my mind. It’s not that I don’t see them as worthy of worship, they’re just not gods. People have worshipped the sun. Atheists believe in the sun. Does that make them not atheists? No, because they do not believe that the sun is a god.

    Odium’s power was not suppressed. The Fused use the surges powered by Voidlight, just as Venli was able to. It was only Honor and Cultivation’s powers that were suppressed.
