Nameless walked up. "Yes, that would be great. It would be even better if someone hadn't forcibly bonded me, but there's nothing I can do about that, is there." He pointedly didn't look at Rue. @Edema Ruh

Nameless walked after Thaidakar, a grimace on his face. "You're right about me. I am callous, I did hurt you. Repeatedly. I have hurt many people, Moniker most of all. Even in death, I have hurt her greatly." Nameless sighed. "You're wrong in one thing though. I have never been a hero. I have always been a horrible, uncaring person. That's why I hated you. It was not because I thought you were weak, or anything like that. It's because deep down I knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that nothing ultimately mattered. And you, you had all the same powers as I did, all the same omnipotence, and yet you pretended that it all mattered. You pretended that holding Adonalsium somehow made you stronger, that scientists could make beings stronger than Narrators, it was ridiculous. And so I hated you, and I hurt you because of that hatred." Nameless took a deep breath before continuing. "I'm sorry. I was wrong to hate you because of that. It was out of my own selfish desire to bend the world to my whims that I did so many terrible things to you. I know it's a little late, but I am genuinely, terribly sorry for what I've done." Nameless halted completely, letting Thaidakar continue walking away from him. "That said... I don't agree with what you did. With what you've felt. Do you know why Moni named me? It's because I was falling apart. I had no name to anchor me, and for the last time my name isn't Llstml, no matter what you say. I had no name, but there were plenty of names that wanted to have me." Nameless grimaced. "So I found Moni, and begged her to give me a name. A name that truly encompassed me, that truly described me. Do you know what she called me? She called me The Storyteller Who Cannot Live." Nameless chuckled softly. "The Storyteller Who Cannot Live. It was a good name for me. With my power, I wove plot to my will, but I never really allowed myself to live in it. The closest I got was that time with the Witherlord... and you know how that turned out. For all my uncaringness, I cared enough to hesitate when I should have struck, forever ended the single greatest threat TLT has ever faced." He shook his head. "But anyways. That name... I hated it. It made me realize what I was, and I couldn't live like that. But I also couldn't live like you. Caring is good, but you cared too much. You created your own problems, your own enemies. Do you realize that before you decided TLT was terrible, it simply wasn't? Sure, withergeists would attack occasionally and narrators did horrible things from time to time, but you actively made the world worse because you cared too much. Your author created struggles for you. Like this one, actually. Don't blame me for refusing to make the world better. Blame your author for making it worse." Nameless put a hand to his head. "Sorry, that was off topic. Getting back to me, and my new name, as I said I hated it. But I couldn't see any way to change it for the better. No way but one. I gave up my status as a narrator. I didn't want the power that made nothing matter, so I got rid of it. I became the brave adventurer, and..." Nameless smiled. "Things got better. It was wonderful. I could care, I could struggle, everything mattered, that brief time was some of the best of my entire life. I opened a blacksmith shop, I was going to live peacefully and then... you. It would have been so good if you just left me alone. I would have been happy, I would have lived contentedly, for once in my life helping people rather than hurting them, but no. It's not to be." Nameless sighed. "For everything to matter, you have to let it. And so I had no choice but to let you kill me. If I'd taken up my powers as a Narrator, fought back, it would've resulted in the loss of everything I'd gained. Everything I loved. But still, it hurt so much to think of what could have been. I don't think I'll ever forgive you for that. Ever." Nameless threw his hands up in the air. "I don't know why I'm telling you this. We're in the world of dreams now, and we'll be here forever. I wish the link between this and the rest of the world hadn't faded so much, but... ah well. I hope Moni isn't too destroyed by her burden. She is my legacy, I hope." -- Moni pointed her dagger at Darkness. "Are you going to say anything? I'd expect you to have killed me by now. Didn't you absorb an Author's power or something? Well, I have a message from my Author for you." Unintelligible pulled two revolvers from thin air and opened fire. Lines of light shot from his guns, homing in on Desolation.

There was no reply but the empty room, dimly lit by candlelight. On the paper were scrawled a few barely legible words: "Unity is broken. Broken by arrogance, broken by hatred, Unity shall not be healed. Beside the words, in a much neater script, was a notation: "The last prophecy of Foe, collected shortly before his demise." "Good." The figure lowered his hood, revealing the face of the brave adventurer. The face of Nameless. "You should have left earlier. If you had, none of this would have happened."

Moni smiled sadly, looking at Mythos tiredly. "I'm sorry Mythos. I can't accomplish that task." She gestured to the scattered papers on the desk. "Read those. You'll see." Endings appeared in her hand suddenly, and she walked out of the room, moving as if underwater. Moni appeared moments later. She held the dagger of Endings, and it pulled her towards the figure. Her face was strained, exhaustion evident across every inch of her being. "I've been waiting for you to show up." Thaidakar's soul has left TLT, just as Nameless' soul has. Thaidakar stood in a strange place, his surroundings were misty, undefined. Before him stood a hooded figure with folded arms. "So. You're finally here. For the last time, I hope."

That was just a temporary thing because he didn't want to fight at the moment. Didn't want Moni or Micheal getting hurt.

"You have a terrible memory, don't you? I never made any such deal." That was Nowhere.

Meanwhile, Unintelligible approached Desolation. "Alright. Feanor's dead, so I have no reason not to fight you anymore. I think you'll find me much more dangerous than on our last encounter." @Aeoryi

Unintelligible appears in the dark room with everyone. “Xyr, you’re right. Everyone else is wrong. I did indeed once storm a fortress with a baseball bat. It’s one of the weapons I’m most proficient with.”

“Alright great! I’ll go first. My two truths and a lie are: I have died, I once used a baseball bat to storm a fortress, and I have killed at least thirteen ninjas at once.”

Unintelligible remains to the side, watching the battle. "Seems like all of you have things under control. By which I mean things are totally out of control and I doubt my help will change that." Subversion felt like strangling someone. "Yes the brave adventurer was Nameless. Of course! It's the only explanation that makes sense! And to answer your question, I want Thaidakar dead. I just don't think you can actually do it."

"No, she said that she gave Nameless a name, and the way he reacted left him vulnerable to Thaidakar's attack when he wouldn't have been before. Thaidakar killed him Platypus, it's undeniable. Don't believe me? See for yourself." Subversion reached into the past, straining her weakened narration powers to the limit, and brought forth something true. Platypus entered into a vision. The hood of the cloak was swept aside as the blue energy came closer to the adventurer, revealing a face. A face that revealed a lot. The adventurer's tongue was refrained from saying the name, nor their attributes, but it revealed so much. "What's so threatening about you?" Feanor strode closer, whispering in the adventurer's ear, "I know that you'll be the method of my destruction. I was told that you would if I let you... I have to remove loose ends so I can kill the five, finally. Do understand, please... Say hi to Lindy for me." And, smiling, Feanor stepped back as the blue energy hit the adventurer, unravelling the adventurer's very being into a state where it could be sent to the place where it can never be returned from. "A shame..." Feanor said, lifting their hood once more. "I liked him." "See? It was Thaidakar. Undeniable proof that it was him."

Subversion leapt into the air, flying after Platypus. "I did what I had to to survive! If I hadn't done what I did to Valiant, I wouldn't exist right now. And Moni never said that Thaidakar didn't kill Nameless, merely that she didn't know how Nameless had died. You're a fool, Platypus. Being used by others for their own ends is all you're good for, it seems." ~250 pages since he disappeared presumed dead, ~100 since he actually died.

"The Desolation dragons? Maybe. The bread's only thirty Avas at the store down the street, and Ghanderflaffles are shapeshifting creatures that are obsessed with making their empire rise forever.

No he's definitely stolen a lot of narration from Nameless, (Nameless couldn't pull off the trick that Subversion did. He's not good at illusions.) but Nameless has a lot of narration to steal. So like he connects to a world and gains the powers there? Not too overpowered imo. "Uh, something about an evil guy returning, and some sort of prophecy. Oh, and there's a sale on Ghanderflaffle bread."

He believes so, yes.

The connection disappeared. It seemed that Nameless' narration simply didn't exist anymore, aside from what Desolation had brought in from the past. At least, not where Desolation could get to it.

Unintelligible waves. "Nice to meet you. I'm Unintelligible. You have a nice name that totally doesn't sound evil."

Forget what Cacophony said, now's a great time! Just maybe don't throw your new character into the middle of the battle straight off. let them have a bit of time to acclimate to the thread first. Unintelligible frowned, staring up at the speck in the sky. It looked suspiciously like a new character. Subversion glared at Platypus. "You must be blind. How can you even say he's your friend after what he's done? He killed Nameless and tried to kill me. He's done terrible things, and being sorry for them doesn't excuse him for doing them."
