  1. "Have one of them come to me, and I will make them a blade. I know you consider yourselves interconnected, but I cannot make a blade for someone who is not here. It is not my way."
  2. "Well, I won't help you. If you wanted a weapon to defend yourself, I would make it for you. But a weapon that you want solely to kill narrators? No. Even if I agreed that your goals were worthy, you already have powerful weapons to aid you in them. Your Nohr-Maul blade is powerful, and you hold Foreshadowing as well. Is a third such weapon really necessary?"
  3. "Hm. You want it to kill them all because of what they've done to your people, correct?"
  4. The figure did not turn around. "Yes. Have you come for a weapon?"
  5. The sound of metal hitting metal brought Desolation back to consciousness. In front of him stood a figure, back to Desolation as he hammered a piece of red-hot metal on his anvil.
  6. Platypus rammed the blade into what passed for Desolation's chest, and everything went black.
  7. "Well, you are going to die now." Platypus raised his blade to strike Desolation.
  8. Platypus shook his head, and Foreshadowing melted into mist, vanishing from Desolation's fingers. "I'm afraid you don't know anything at all. let me ask you again. Are you ready to die?"
  9. The blade remained, and from it Platypus reemerged. "Oh, I'm afraid the Dreamsmith was prepared for that." He swung the weapon, shearing through the Nohr-Maul blade in Desolation's hands, dispersing the gathered narration. "Do you understand now?"
  10. Platypus's smirk widened. "You really think that will save you?" He stepped forward, raising his blade before him.
  11. Platypus smirked. "You think that will save you? I visited the Dreamsmith while you were spying on the others planning. This blade I'm holding? It was made by him. Made to kill you."
  12. The light brightened, allowing Desolation to make out the features of Platypus. The Narrator was smiling, holding a blade that was the source of the light. "Hello Desolation. Are you ready to die?"
  13. "I see. Yes, I see it. You fear that they will destroy you." A spark of light appeared in the darkness, and it revealed something standing in front of Desolation. "Your fears are not unfounded."
  14. Inside the house, Desolation finds nothing but complete darkness. from somewhere in the darkness, a voice speaks. "Tell me Desolation. What is it you fear most? What monsters haunt the nightmares of your kind?"
  15. "Very well. You may enter." Omen retreats back into the house.
  16. "You may attempt to pass my trials only if you wish to visit the Dreamsmith. Do you?"
  17. Omen's form darkened, glowing with malevolent energy. "If they are worthy, they should be allowed entry. Unblock the door so that I may test whoever wishes to enter."
  18. "It is also my duty to allow the worthy to visit the Dreamsmith. Please unblock the door so that I can fulfill my duties."
  19. "I am here to ensure that only the worthy may visit the Dreamsmith. I protect the way to him."
  20. "The Dreamsmith knows of Darkness, and he is not concerned. Darkness would be a fool to move against him."
  21. The figure folded his arms, form rippling. "I am Omen, he who guards the way to the Dreamsmith. You seek to do what is my duty?"
  22. Someone walked through the door from the inside, a figure made from shifting shadows that passed through Desolation as if he did not exist. "What is this? Why do you block the way to the Dreamsmith?"
  23. "Blast! He's got us figured out. Falvan, get inside!" Unintelligible fired a bullet through Desolation's head. "I can't kill him without anti-Inkling rounds, but I can still slow him down."
  24. The dwelling of the Dreamsmith appeared to be a small house, with shuttered windows and a single door. "Excellent, We're here. Falvan, you go inside. The rest of us will stay out here in case Desolation tries to break in." @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ
