  1. "Not Nowhere. He's done a horrible job with all the Mordite he claimed from Abomination. And... who is this Dreamsmith person you're talking about?"
  2. "You're no fair! I don't have any special weapons. Nothing like Nameless." Subversion sighs, but stops trying to grab the bag. "Fine. But when you die again, can we agree that I get the bag and not Platypus?"
  3. Subversion tries to grab the bag back. "Exactly why I need it! And I'm not doing anything here besides grave robbing."
  4. "Nope! I need it. Can't let anyone else have this stuff."
  5. "Oh, I've Mordite all right. And I'm absolutely not letting you have any of this stuff." "Oh, you're back. Well I guess that explains why the Authorblade isn't gone."
  6. "He didn't have it, and it's not why I'm here." Subversion pulled a bag out of the Once-Author's pockets, looked inside it, then nodded and put it in her own pocket. "Oh, and that Authorblade's already started dissolving. Without the Once-Author to anchor it, the blade is made from nothing more than dreams." Subversion eyed the ghost. "Are you going to do something to stop me?"
  7. Subversion jumped, then relaxed as she saw it was Platypus and continued going through the Once-Author's pockets. "What do you think I'm doing here?"
  8. Subversion wondered if the Not-Author dying meant that he had never been the true Author, or if it meant that the one who'd usurped his role was now in charge permanently. Either way, she was happy that she got to his corpse before anyone else could steal all of the Once-Author's stuff.
  9. The spike was said to point towards the Dawnshard and Sigzil told Hoid that if the Night Brigade captured him they'd find Hoid too, so I think it's reasonable to assume that Sigzil passed it on to Hoid.
  10. He doesn't fight people for free. Maybe you will.
  11. He's mostly an enemy in recent times, and I think Nowhere tried to kill him when they last met.
  12. That's true, and I think Rep was made before you were here. He's an old associate/friend/enemy of Impossible and Nowhere.
  13. Indeed. Impossible was undergoing a narratorial transition which had unfortunately caused him to lose a few memories, which apparently included Rep.
  14. 1) Most likely explanation I can come up with is they can track Sigzil's Skips somehow. 2) As I said I think Hoid has the Dawnshard so they wouldn't need to make a tracking spike from him, but if he gave it up they could also make a spike from him that would lead to the Dawnshard. 3) I think Hoid still has it, yes.
  15. 1) I assume they just track Sig. He's not as good at hiding as Hoid is, presumably. 2) I think it points to the Dawnshard, meaning Hoid has the Dawnshard as of SP4, and probably as of SA as well.
  16. Here's a WoB on it:
  17. The group looking for Hoid in the Purelake was with the 17th shard, definitely not the Night Brigade.
  18. "That's an odd assumption to make." Butt Venture then majestically leapt off a cliff to continue his quest.
  19. "Why didn't you ask me instead? Those children might have died."
  20. "And you didn't wonder why I was doing that?"
  21. "No. I still want to eat the sandwich. I simply know the truth."
  22. Butt Venture glared at him. "You should've helped."
  23. "I didn't want to eat it."
  24. The melted puddle forms into the words: "Because I don't blow people up for free." -- After stealing all the candy just before it could be eaten, Butt Venture let out a sigh of relief and dumped it all into a box labelled: "Warning. Highly poisonous. Do not eat."
