  1. I didn't realize I wanted this until now, but I really want some spren - spren interaction. I think the only other thing we have gotten so far is the Stormfather and Syl.
  2. Rock has conversation with his wife in Oathbringer that implies that 2 more of Rock's older brothers are now dead and Rock is avoiding some responsibility. "What of Tifi and Sinaku'a" she asked him. "Dead," he whispered. "They raised weapons in vengeance." She put her hand to her lips. She wore a glove on her safehand in deference to silly Vorin traditions. "Then you -" "I am a chef now," Lumanor said, firm. "But -" "I cook, Tuaka."
  3. Peter Ahlstrom Dalinar is 53 in Way of Kings. Navani is a few months older than him. Sadeas is 3 years younger than him. Note that these are Rosharan ages. A Rosharan year is 1.1 Earth years. General Reddit 2017 (Sept. 21, 2017) Looks like she isn't a herald, but I'm really interested to see what's up with her past. I hope she ends up being the other main character for RoW.
  4. Is it confirmed that it's all 10 surges? I had assumed that whatever surge the fused lack is also lacked by Yelignar.
  5. Questioner How would - just really generally - the Ghostbloods react if they found or met Hoid? Brandon Sanderson (laughs) They... Some people among them know of him. Questioner So they know he's around. Brandon Sanderson Some of them do, not everybody. But they are aware of his existence. At least in lore, they don't always... Not all of them have connected the King's Wit to this person's lore, does that make sense? So what would they know? They'd probably want to get him and interrogate him. They would want to know what he knows, but he is really slippery and it's hard to get out of him what he knows. Leipzig Book Fair (March 24, 2017) Given this wob, it makes the most sense that the Ghostblood's goal is to gain information/power. Hoid has stated that if Odium knew where Hoid was, Odium would be willing to level a city for a chance at killing him. So, it is pretty clear that Odium and those who follow him would kill Hoid on sight if they knew who he was and not just interrogate him for information. Odium might be influencing the Ghostbloods in some way, but I think it is highly unlikely that their "higher purpose" is serving Odium.
  6. He said it is somebody who does not have their own book so it can't Lift or Renarin.
  7. 75.8% lightweaver. The results seem pretty balanced so far, looks like a good test!
  8. I think the general consensus is that Teft is a radiant in his own right and is no longer reliant on Kaladin as a squire. The same goes for Lopen, however Lopen has only attained the second ideal while Teft and Kaladin have said their thirds. Whatever list you saw probably just was not updated for Oathbringer yet.
  9. Each time Kaladin has sworn an ideal, he has gotten a burst of stormlight. Maybe with the 4th ideal, that burst of stormlight will be transformed into plate which he can dissolve and resummon without the use of any additional stormlight. As in, once the plate is created, the radiant does not have to ever make it again.
  10. If its a listener book then I think Rlain could be a possibility with whatever he is doing with the other listeners. I think it could also be Adolin and exploring the (potential) bond with Maya. Edit: Just listened to it and he says that its somebody who has not a flashback sequence in any of the books
  11. I think this makes the most sense as the end to the first arc, giving humanity time to prepare for the final showdown in the second arc. For whatever reason, Odium doesn't show up until the desolation starts, so I think reestablishing the oathpact would do more than just imprison the Fused. In addition, I feel like Brandon has been developing this possibility in a way that it would not be a cliffhanger. Throughout the series there have been several mentions of the value that mankind places on time. I think Hoid talked about it at the end of WoK and I think either the Stormfather or Honor's visions mention it to Dalinar. So, if the front-five ended with a new oathpact that buys more time, I would see that as more of a victory for humanity rather a cliffhanger for the next half of the series.
  12. Shallan starts to develop a major flaw in book 3. I found it weird and frustrating, but if you are looking for her to win less then you might like it.
  13. In Oathbringer, the scene where Renarin tells Adolin how he figured out how to summon Glys as a shardblade was pretty much just him gong to Glys and asking him to become a shardblade. This did not really seem like how the rest of the radiants progressed. So, I was wondering, does being bonded to a corrupted spren mean that you do not have to say oaths to progress?
  14. I think this is interesting because we never actually see any of the 4th ideal skybreakers with shardplate. If your theory is correct, then it would make sense since there would have been no bondsmith to forge together the armor for them. Or maybe skybreakers get their plate at their 5th oath and this might have something to do with why none of them have attained the 5th ideal in years.
  15. Proof that the entire Stormlight Archive is based off of power rangers.
  16. I acutally think it is Nohadon masquerading as Cultivation masquerading as honor. But it's a good theory.
  17. Going off of the theory that voidbinders have access to one surgebinding surge and one voidbinding surge, Renarin seems to have the voidsurge of fortune. It seems like is is the same power given by one of the forms of power, nightform. Based off of this, I was thinking that each voidsurge granted to voidbinders will also be possible to attain through a form of power. I do not believe that there will be a 1:1 ratio of voidsurges to forms of power since envoyform appears to have powers similar to bondsmith's resonance and as such would not provide much of a change between a surgebinder and voidbinder. I also do not think stormform will be one of the voidsurges, although a combination of gravitation and stormform would be pretty awesome. The forms of power (that we know of so far) that I think have a good chance of having a corresponding voidsurge are smokeform and decayform. I'm not really sure what they would do though.
  18. I agree with pretty much everything here. For me, Rock/Lunamor would be up there as well. He is really fleshed out for a side character and I am really excited to hear more about his backstory. Also, this thing, every time he speaks he makes me laugh.
  19. I'm not sure if you've read all the books yet but ... Oathbringer Spoilers
  20. It's pretty hard to pick favorites, but If I had to, I'd probably go with either Kaladin or Wayne. Both of them have some powerful moments and things I can connect with.
  21. I exist
