  1. Well, that's less impressive, but still that sounds awesome.
  2. Brandon recommends reading at least up to Bands of Mourning before reading SH. And I agree.
  3. Connection and Identity do have effects. Interesting things are happening.
  4. Sorry, I don't actually source these from the books directly, I have a PM that I filled with notes and take my information from there. And when I made them I only wrote down page numbers, so I don't have access to the chapters, at least not as easily. I'll try and add this one later as I remember that it was the chapter where Kaladin rides horses. Edit: @alder24 chapter 25 Why thank you. I lean more towards the spren inhabiting a preexisting gemheart. Similar to what Tumi was doing with the cremlings in RoW. Which would be the foreshadowing that @HSuperLee mentioned. But whether that means that they form the gemheart in the creature, I have no idea. Thank My thoughts exactly.
  5. Ding ding ding ding ding. You got it.
  6. Wait what! she's leaving!
  7. There have been several discussions about what benefits the fifth oath give the Radiant, and every time I've wanted to say something. But I didn't because I could never find the WoB that gave me the idea again. I searched so many times, over the span of years for this one stinking WoB, and could never find it. Until today. At 3rd oath the knight gets a sword. At 4th they get armor. And at fifth, they get some kind of mount. This is further supported by the Knights Radiant having the only Rhyshadium in the past(WoR 317). So what do you think?
  8. Nope, it's the other one.
  9. Why thank you. I was more thinking that the Connection is locked on to the original Radiant 's Identity, kind of like metalminds, but thinking about it now it could require both Connection and Identity manipulation to work.
  10. I recently stumbled upon a rather interesting set of WoBs. This quite literally changes everything. Now instead of capping out at three powers before you open yourself up to outside influence, you can get access to 12, while retaining the same number of spikes. This also allows you(if you can deal with Identity pollution) to compound 4 metals with only two spikes, so long as those metals are from the same quadrant. This is my mind makes Hemalurgy an actually useable magic system, as before it had far too many downsides for only a single power. But if you can get 4 powers from either Feruchemy or Allomancy with only a single spike, that's a lot more useable. I guess the only question now is what quadrants do you think would be the best to have?
  11. It was so funny. You were all trying to pressure him into making it his pfp, and so he's like: "But it could be fire!"
  12. That sounds rather plausible. A way for them to artificially keep surgebinding from breaking planets, but still giving humanity the ability to fight Desolations. Though, that makes me wonder if dead plate could do anything for their original radiant.
  13. He kind of showed up and started breaking things, but I don't think he actually ended them.
  14. Even if it only works around themselves it's still useful as a defensive tool. Even just the rapid depressurization could be deadly, as the bends often causes paralysis, and impaired cognitive function.
  15. I'm convinced that this thread will never die.
  16. Ishar didn't get his Honorblade until a few months before RoW. Well, she can lie, appear to Gavilar, and see the future. But I don't think she has a tie into the Oathpact, Unless Honor added her, nor do I think, judging based on Odium, that she could end the Visions. That being said, she presents one of if not the likeliest option for an imposter.
  17. Considering that Autonomy doesn't seem to be scared of Harmony, I doubt anything else would. How so? I never got the impression it was anything other than a Nalthian government trying to control the Perpendicularity, just like the Horneaters. Yes, all of them can, but Autonomy is the only one we know of who does, which is why Taldain is the only world to benefit from their shard in this way.
  18. I'm actually kind of impressed that you managed to do that.
  19. Apparently 'good question' and 'goodreads' both exist, which I'm not sure they should, but I'll leave that up to our Arcanists.
