    The only Olymic sport where that would be allowed(that I know of) is 3 on 3 basketball. 1 out of 40. You are arguing an extremely niche case here. The metals would be swallowed beforehand, but not burning.

They do not block steel, they do not block Chromium, they do not block Nicrosil, etc. Therefore there is no reason to assume that they would have any effect on any other magic. Therefore for the purposes of this thread we must assume that there is no effect as otherwise we enter the realm of hypothetical, and nothing is ever accomplished. It is not a matter of what I think, merely a matter of neccesity.

    The destination is relative to the user, or at least can be used that way. That's why Raoden needed the number of footsteps. You can just write send forward X meters, and then each time you touch it(as I'm imagining it written on the jersey or something) you move forward that much. They can be prewritten, and then activate by touch. Why would I be talking about ball games? They aren't determined by speed, and make up the vast minority of Olympic events.

    This is an Olympic games not combat, so yes, movement is the goal. And you can't move something into where they are going as they get there before you.
