There are 7 Ajahs(8 if you count black) Brandon has a thing with the number 10, and 16 look at most of his books you'll find them. I was unaware that the Orders were color coded.

One big fear Shallan will follow her usual trend and steal all the time I want to spend reading about Kaladin, just like she did in Wok, OB, and even a little in WoR(admittedly not any significant amount but I would be perfectly fine having not read the whole sneak into the monastery chapter).
-
Hoid could probably do it.
-
That was my thought.

Should I stop reading?

Honestly (and I stopped in book 5) The only character in Wheel of Time that I liked reading was Perrin. -
I never said I hated Pattern, I wasn't hugely interested in the Oathgate I was more fixated on Dalinar's politics, and Kaladin and Szeth's impending showdown. Edit I don't think I've ever met someone who can lie to themselves so completely that they believe it, once again I would understand her refusing to talk to Kal but she instead is somehow capable of holding full conversations with him for the whole book without a hint of resentment.
-
Just because she solves problems doesn't mean she's a good character, She could easily be written out and on my opinion the story would improve. Write Kaladin out and you lose so much reader investment, write Dalinar out and Oathbringer might as well not exsist. write Shallan out and WoR might have more interest to me, of all my favorite scenes in the series NONE of them are about Shallan: Kaladin, Dalinar, Adolin, Szeth, and Lift all have amazing scenes even outside their respective books, the closest thing I have with Shallan is the Midnight Mother and that isn't even that good. Shallan also just doesn't deal with Trauma in any way I recognize, She finds out her friend KILLED her brother and she does nothing about it, If she were hiding it I would at least expect her to stop talking to Kal but she just shrugs it off like no big deal despite the fact that it is played and honestly should crush her but it playes no part of the narrative other than dialog.

Probably I'll give you that one Apple doesn't fall far from the tree logic, It's a metaphorical meaning as Kaladin is Walking in Tanavasts footsteps. Most likely, I also like it makes it more interesting when we find out.
-
Take one look at your reputation for me.
-
Probably but to my understanding Nohadon doesn't have a relation to Tanavast stronger than being a Raidiant.

I also didn't like Dalinar until the end I wont get specific but It's awesome, Shallan Unfortunately sticking to old trends just steals Kaladins Screen time and could for almost all intents and purposes be written out of the Narrative very easily. In my opinion you should finish Oathbringer does make Dalinar Difficult to deal with but if you don't read it you won't ever come to forgive him. -
if you want that read the silmarilion.

And the conversation deteriorates into whether or not Ishi was a good producer.

I have also read first 4 books and part of the fifth in Wheel of Time, and 1 I think it is super overrated, and 2 I did not have this problem with their characters, yeah they aren't perfect but I prefer them to Shallan
-
I find even bad jokes funny and will remember them, i don't even have a clue to hers I have a hard time feeling anything about her past, because she just pushes it away and refuses to deal with it. Kaladin killing her brother should complicate their relationship, but NO, she will just uh, um oh I know she'll ignore it! yay. Her drawing is just distracting. Her alter ego's are written better than she is I honestly don't have a problem with veil but Shallan makes me want to jump ahead to another characters PoV.
-
Number 1 problem with Shallan was how little she did in WoK she belonged as a interlude character not a main one. all she did was take time away from Kaladin. Everything after that was poorly done, but that is the root of the problem.

I was looking through the arcanum when I saw this Winds Alight (paraphrased) In SA the Stormfather refers to several people as "Child of Honor", but only Kaladin as "Child of Tanavast". Is there significance to that? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) Yes, there is. Stuttgart signing (May 17, 2019) So I see a few options here Kaladin is Literally Tanavast's child Kaladin is meant to take up Honor's shard.(Yes I know Everyone is screaming it's Dalinar deal with it) What do you think.
-
it's autonomy, and slash or the survival shard.

If I had to make Adolin a radiant I would make him a stoneward, I think contorting the terrain to suit him is far more fitting, not skating though enemies like a glorified bowling ball. But that means no maya Lift get's away with it because she is always silly and the power set works with that. I suppose I wouldn't be too mad if he did the reverse and made everyone else slip, but even so he would need to feel at honestly sorry that he had to kill Sadeas for me to really get behind him.

good point

Wait binding all creatures, mortal, or void-ish that Is most defiantly a bondsmith ability on an extreme, maybe they are like Hyper-active surges.
