  1. What I think @Nymeros is saying that if we had two separate realities and in one someone was born blind, in the other they had sight we could reasonably expect them to become very different people.
  2. Win Sand. You dare break the pattern.
  3. Well Europe, Asia and Africa touch so Geographically they would work, but mesoamerican cultures tend to get more spotlight. So either or, but that does leave Australia being ignored.
  4. My organization is very interested in you. Ghostbloods for the win.
  5. Guess who's back 648
  6. Because you can fit more tungsten into the same place than you can another element.
  7. Anti-tungsten would be best for what you doing
  8. So my first topic on this thread. I have noticed an number of places where people ask for book recommendations here, but not a specific thread, and why not make it a game. So one person will be "it" they will put a general idea of what their looking for(genre, content, themes etc) and the next person will recommend a book of that fits them as best as possible, and then they will put their inquiry down. So here is mine, I'm looking for a fantasy book, where magic actually playes a role, not just mentioned. I would like it to be heavily centered on politics. And with almost no sexual content, nothing worse than Mistborn.
  9. The reason that they're going away after the fourth Ideal.
  10. There is a law about it, I can't remember what it is called but basically, a website can be either a public forum, or a publisher. If it's a publisher it has full control of everything, but it is responsible for the content on it, a public forum is not responsible for anything a user says, but has no censorship authority. (If you need I'll find what it is called)
  11. I have wondered how the shard justifies censorship, while being a public forum. As technically (too my knowledge) that is illegal I'm the United States, but then after the case of [removed by moderator, off topic], court precedent is in favor of the shard. I personally think that the mods where wanting a change in how you spoke, not what you had to say. I don't know how it was handled on this instance but I want you to know that this doesn't happen often and hope you stay(assuming you haven't already left for good)
  12. Wait, that's brilliant, although it would be Illumination as that's the surge of sound and all.
  13. I'm sorry but that is false. Sight is mobility. There is a reason that every dominate species has eyes, they're so useful. I would dull all my other senses just to keep sight. A person who can see can run in an entirely new environment without fear, unless you strait up get echolocation you can't do that with hearing. What do you do when you hear something threatening? You turn to look at it. Sight is by far and away the most powerful of the five.
  14. I was specifically referring to Ene saying that being blind was preferable to phycological disorders for the Radiant's jobs. I was not saying that that is how Spren think, but I don't think it's out of the picture. We just don't know how Spren think yet.
  15. Kaladin and Dalinar are on the Extreme end, the thing is most people have some physiological disorder or another, 1 in 4 people have depression on one level or another, it's not a fair comparison. The knights with mental disorders are far more capable of handling their duties than blind Radiants. I'm not trying to step on toes but I know I'm going to regardless, this is not an attack on blind people but physiological disorders are just so much easier to treat or even ignore.
  16. Perfect Adolin is probably his spirit that we're seeing there.
  17. Thanks to both of you @Comatose and @Greywatch I respectfully disagree but I know that I won't change your minds so I see no point in fighting to stalemate. I salute you for your participation in public discourse. I know you aren't trying to attack anyone here, or at least I hope not but could you perhaps make that a little more clear? I know know how hard it is to communicate exactly through writing. I did, and hope we can do it again some time, hopefully over a less real topic
  18. It's more the being disappointed in Brandon not answering a question we don't know he has received.
  19. I'm not saying it should be taken down but I feel that it's acting a bit entitled, If I made a post of 'I'm disappointed Brandon hasn't confirmed my theory' no one would bat an eye at someone saying that it's a bit unrealistic to expect Brandon to answer. Perhaps Brandon not confirming lesser Spren theory would fit better as he is more likely to know about it. (Yes I'm aware that it isn't on the same level as people's lives but It's also at least what he normally does and applies to his work) I have no problem with people asking him questions or even wanting answers, just ask them respectfully give him time to answer and keep the emotions in if you revive a RAFO. I don't quite know how to put my thoughts unto a page, so I'm just going to say I don't think Brandon would be responsible for anything if he didn't reply, you mention people in power being responsible for their inaction's but the thing is Brandon has no power in this situation, nothing he says will change anything. I honestly don't think he should respond but that's mainly how I would react in his situation because if my dreams of standing where Brandon is ever come to fruition, I am going to try my best to keep my opinions on politics out of my public appearances, for many of the same reasons Brandon refuses to speak on the Beyond, it wouldn't change anything and it's not our place. (Again my opinion feel free to ignore all of this)
