  1. That would depend on what makes something a person. Something I don't think they have. I never read anything the Sibling said as unreasonable, they just want to be left alone. The Stormfather straight up tells Syl that she could be more than he is during RoW. The Nightwatcher doesn't go around cursing people, she lets them come to her and if she wants to she'll give them whatever they want, with a downside added on. It's an entirely voluntary process, the people know that a curse will be added.
  2. Probably a typo as proto-dawnshards were from Dragonsteel
  3. That's your problem? They aren't people they are forces/objects given minds I still think that no one Navani esspecially do not deserve unbounded Bondsmith power, but you have made me feel better about it.
  4. Not Obvious! *Deep breath* Navani has spent her entire life and still does hold to a religion that says Fused are demons, it couldn't get more obvious! An incredibly lame way to be extraordinary. It would be weird if it didn't work on Regals. And he didn't have shards during WoK, and after swearing fourth his Stormlight seems to work normally. And tight corridors helps the smaller force.
  5. It makes sense if you read the discussion around it. No larger than Navani finding Anti-light something that even after aparently thousands of years of trying Raboniel still hadn't figured out. The suppressior had not been fixed yet otherwise all the regals would have dropped. And yes he can drop an entire army, he held back thousands in WoK without any shards. Did all she could? If handing Raboniel her notebook was all she could do to keep them from learing about it I'm disapointed. Dalinar showed control before becoming a Bondsmith. And again I did not know how broken Bondsmith powers are at that time She spent the entire book outright ignoring redflags to go along with her enemy all so she could live her dream job.
  6. Have you seen anything @Bejardin1250 has posted recently? And on top of that Dalinar has been a Bondsmith for while and has a clean track record so far, and Dalinar has demonstrated far more self control than Navani.
  7. I've been thinking about that actually the difference is Navani knew about it, the people Hoid talks about don't. Worthy entails being able to use them responsibly something I don't think Navani capable of doing. The answer to that is simple, the Ishar scene was in RoW not WoR.
  8. Yes as a-Tin is one power and a-pewter is another, if Brandon had said that you stored Mistborn-ness you would store both, but as he didn't it's specific metals
  9. Copper is still one power, you store certain amount of memories.
  10. Tin being the only metal that does that, when all other metals only act as one power?
  11. Which do you think more likely That when the questioner asked if you stored mistborn-ness(all the powers) at once, or each power separatly and Brandon said separatly that he was Refering to each misting type(one power) as they are described in the novels Or refering to each individual change that each specific metal made which are all considered one power in world?
  12. When brandon says all powers individually he is speaking of different metals
  13. The only time your citations are ignored is when you cite the coppermind instead of using a quote or WoB and most of the time what you said wasn't even close to what was actually stated in the article. Number of Mistborn: zero Any particular twinborn combination at a time: at most one The fastest time ever recorded of a human going is 27 mph, I think giving Steelrunners slightly under mach 1 is still a lot. Also bring the snark way down
  14. Mistborn
  15. Well he's done it for three books now and I still don't feel like any of the characters are in danger so, yes. I've enjoyed watching large quantities of faceless minions getting slaughtered by power they couldn't possibly underrstand before a real challange comes out. Even if the last one is often over hypped. I've always liked static characters more. If there isn't any risk to the characters than the stakes don't matter. I think it would make a better story to remove the plot armor. El
  16. Using surges yes, but she can't fight, at least not well, that's what I thought you ment. The light is where the people can get to, which means it's convienient. So Navani get's to somehow know she will discover anti-Voidlight and use it to cure the Sibling but Kal doesn't get 4th? Really? Her best is not worthy of being a bondsmith then. I don't care what pressure they are put under they cannot be allowed to crack, there is a reason I've said I wouldn't trust anyone with it, it's not supposed to be reasonable the standards must be unobtainably demanding, they have to be. It wasn't even that hard of a choice it wasn't "work for me or die" it was "work for me and maybe you can outsmart me" that's not a hard choice. That's one casualty in war, that is no reason to help the enemy An unfortunate setback If the terms are unacceptable you stall until they come back into your favor. A miniscule cost. Look, for every other order I wouldn't be anywhere near as upset about this, if Honor's laws were still enforced I wouldn't be upset, but the one check left on Bondsmith powers was forcably removed and Navani got power that didn't want her, and that drives me crazy
  17. Jasnah can barely 1 v 1. And Kal did come back and single handedly turned the tide, and there is stormlight everywhere in Urithiru he got some from lamps during the occupation. 4th oath is not a very big leap No he really wouldn't have Even held prisoner I would not help the people trying to conqure the world.
  18. *coughs in fourth Ideal Kal could solo the entire occupying force*
  19. He ripped Lezians head off, with a reverse Lashing.
  20. She would have to display inhuman levels of restraint and self-control There is litterally a scene where an entire regal army takes on look at him and decides to leave him alone.
  21. You aren't understanding the reason because the conversation keeps getting dragged in random directions. She hasn't proven she can handel the power and so she is unworthy, there you go. You seem to think that restoring the Sibling had to be done before the Fused could be killed. Leshwi fights 1 v 1, so would not team up, Lezian demands redemtion and so must fight Kaladin 1 v 1, a team up is far from likely
  22. There is a larkin in Theylanah. But, he did. He fought Lezian, made him retreat, killed him and intimidated the entire regal force into not attacking him.
  23. Lights are used when fabrials function, all that needed to be done was for the Sibling to use the Voidlight. Or have a Larkin drain it, getting rid on investiture is actually pretty easy. And working with Raboniel is not the only way to save the tower, as for how can one man stop an invasion, Kaladin does pretty good at doing just that.
  24. Raboniel was listening to the Sibling If your enemy offers to help you they obviously believe that they will benefit more from that exchange then you and you should refuse. Why is that so contraversial?
