  1. Not really the most standard model lists 8, but in actuallity there are hundreds of types.
  2. And they would need to continue to do so until they got back to shore, I don't think anyone other than a diving enthusiast has weeks of breath stored up.
  3. Considering they've found multiple types of blood, which they have no way of telling apart I don't think them not knowing is enough to prevent them from making it.
  4. No, hemalurgy creastes a hole into someone's soul that allows them to be controlled, Singers have a similar effect with their gemhearts, humans don't have that naturally, and I don't think it's something Bondsmiths could replicate. But the second Nergaoul was captured they returned to normal.
  5. It's not desel, they don't have hydrocarbons that refined. You don't need metallurgy when you have soulcasting, they can have any metal they want.
  6. HoA And on top of that, I doubt it's possible to possess a human who is unaffected by hemalurgy
  7. Compounders, Lerasium allomancers, and the like could realistically push through suppression, but yeah it's just a little broken. I went through my posts from that thread just a few days ago in preparation. I simultaiously dread and anticipate the release date.
  8. Roshar will use Fabrials instead of traditional technology. Which places them with or even ahead of Scadrial as they have FTL communication, transportation, they're slightly behind on powerered flight but far ahead in spacefairing.
  9. Both of those are too small of details to be picked up on by casual readers.
  10. So I've heard the final boss in Adventure of Link is super difficult what do you say? Agreed.
  11. In his final vision Honor says that to see the future is forbiden.
  12. He intentionally tried to hide it, "Don't tell anyone." Using a small gem etc, he was trying to hide this. So there was a reason. Shame isn't enough if it was shame he'd leave a warning, or say "I caused this" or "I allowed this to happen." But he didn't. Brandon chose the word "foresaw" for a reason.
  13. They have salt. What was your lunch?
  14. Given Rosharan society I think they would be far more careful with words like "Foresaw" than that.
  15. There are two of them, neither of whom has gotten a PoV and we have no idea on Oath level. And that means he foresaw it?
  16. Time wise why would Melishi see connection when no other Bondsmiths have. Being the only Truthwatcher at the time to see it, he could be the newest member, he could spend more time with Illumination, he could have been the most advanced in oaths. There are a number of reasons. If it's guilt Why would he have been the only one to have misgivings and why would he say that he "foresaw" this rather than "I could have prevented this."
  17. Then why the don't tell anyone? Why the need for a particularly small emerald? If either of those outcomes were the case no one would be around to find it.
  18. Yeah that's fair.
  19. If either of those were the case who are they hiding from?
  20. No we do not. I think we can excpect a high degree of similarity between Highly invested substance #1 and Highly invested substance #2.
  21. If it had a specific heat closer to 18KJ/g*K Marasi wouldn't even notice. Given how hard it is to melt shardblades it could be something like 180KJ/g*K
  22. I disagree but I'll allow that it's possible. That's not how heat works. Heat is defined by kinetic energy, every substance has a specific heat measured in joules per grams time degrees Kelvin. Basically certain substances need more heat in order to raise by the same temperature. So iron has a specific heat of .45 j/g*k while water has a specific heat of 4.184 j/g*k Menaing in order to increase the temperature of 1 gram of iron by 1 degree Kelvin you need to add .45 Joules of heat, but if you wanted to increase 1 gram of water by 1 degree Kelvin you would need 4.184 Joules of heat. So even if exposed to the same heat iron would experience a greater increase in temperature. So if Mist has a really high specific heat they would experience a small change in temperature.
  23. We've known since RoW that Honor placed restirctions on Bondsmiths but that his restrictions are no longer in force. However we have indication that other orders have similar restrictions that are being lifted. Truthwatchers So one of the Truthwatchers has seen the future, but he's not corrupted like Renarin So he obviously has this ability by default, however this cannot have been there the entire time otherwise they wouldn't have such a stigma against future sight. This is also about the time that Bondsmith abilities begin to be unbound. Cohesion likewise had limits placed on it due to Tanavast's bad experience with Microkinesis. Unfortunetly those are the only orders that we can acuretly guess just how they were limited but it seems reasonable to assume that they all had something like that as Brandon wants to keep discoveries fresh
  24. Brandon tends to limit his questions to reasonable amounts, when he does talk about extremes he makes it obvious. Sorry edit.
