YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE! *Dives out window* Endless cosmere theories here I come!!! -
So the Honorblades themselves don't require stromlight, just that preforming surgebinding with them requires more light than Radiants do. In theory they could be hacked to use other investiture sources, but I don't think they would naturally use them. Heralds had access to stormlight from Honor but after he died they no longer have that.

As I've been writing my own novel I've had to give a measure of respect to Paolini for doing so much at such a young age. But he copied a lot, and it's really obvious.

Discuss the Stormlight 5 Prologue Here
Frustration replied to LewsTherinTelescope's topic in Cosmere Discussion
It's based on quantum entanglement but isn't quite the same thing. While yes the two gems can basically be said to be the same, motion cannot be translated by quantum entanglemnet. On Oathgates -
Discuss the Stormlight 5 Prologue Here
Frustration replied to LewsTherinTelescope's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Division is likely being saved for the back five, and Shallan likely doesn't hear Testiment scream because it's her spren. Spanreeds and Oathgates are both faster than light. -

theory Do we finaly have an answer?

That's not quite the same. While what Endowment does can be called splintering it's is definatly not what Virtuousity did. -

Part of what is weird about Aux is that Sigzil used to have a Dawnshard, so we don't know if other "dead" spren would act like him. -
John dodged back, unable to avoid the attacks but able to keep them to small grazes. "Really? Because I'd say you are about drained, given the amount of gas you've inhaled and the wounds you've received. How long can you keep this up? You can bleed, and you can hurt. That means that somehow, someway you can die. And I garuntee you I WILL find that way." John said ducking under another slash. John fired his gun, and then swung the rifle like a bat hoping to catch V'Harte as he dodged.
-
"Things would be an awful lot easier if you would stay dead." John taunted. John jumped back and firing at V'harte's head.
-
"I'm just as confused as you are."

The SA has too many "main characters"
Frustration replied to Torol Sadeas's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think that the plot has gotten too attatched to Dalinar Kaladin and Shallan that it's starting to choke out others who should be given focus. Venli is largly overlooked in her own book, Kaladin and Navani got slotted in instead. We've barely spent any time with Szeth and Book 5 is for him. Imagine an alternate RoW where Kaladin is entirely without powers and has to help Venli repell the invasion without comprimising her position. But we couldn't have that because Kaladin is hogging the spotlight. Books 6-10 can in many ways be considered a sequel series, so I think them taking a back seat would be a good thing. -
John stared at his chest as the skin around the knife began to glow, and then tingle. Of course, mystics couldn't be satisfied with having magic, they had to have magic weapons too. John ripped the knife out, not sure what it was doing to him but knowing it wasn't good. When he pulled it free he was surprised to find the wound had closed after the knife had left. John grinned, standing he grabbed his gun, and picked up the knife. He wasn't sure how that had happened, but right now he couldn't question good things. John walked through the clouds of gas towards the somehow still alive Mystic. By this point the gas was starting to disipate, so it wasn't hard to line up a shot.

When will the Rock novella come out?
Frustration replied to Vin(Diesel)'s topic in Stormlight Archive
A publication date before it's even been written seems premature.
