  1. "Pretty cool, right?" Evelyn said, coming up beside Cassie. "I remember how amazed I was when I found out I could make those. Want to throw something at it before I take it down?"
  2. Evelyn shrugged. "No one really knows how Seons were made. At least, I don't. They've kind of just . . . always been around. I kind of wonder if we learned the Aons from the Seons. I mean, the Seons have been around for ages, and you can actually see the Aons in them. It makes sense that people might have tried to copy them, or that the Seons actually taught them to us." "We turn again here. You can see the wall at the end of the street."
  3. "A Seon. They look a lot like Joy, but Seons are bigger, and, if you look closely, you can see their base Aon. They're . . . They're kind of a type of magic too. Seons can talk, and they can be used to communicate over large distances as long as you have one in each place. They can also fly, and they usually bond with certain people." "We should turn here," Evelyn said, gesturing towards a side street.
  4. "That's amazing! Is it like a Seon? Does it have a name?"
  5. "So," Evelyn said as they walked in the direction of the Aon Edo she had made. "Do you have magic?"
  6. "Sweet! It's this way," Evelyn said, starting to make her way out of the park. "We meet up here after I take it down?"
  7. "Lightweaving? Is that another type of magic? You'll have to tell me more about your types of magic later. If you want, you can come test the Aon. Like, throw something at it and see what happens before I take it down," Evelyn said with a smile.
  8. "Aon Edo is a way to use my magic. It makes a wall of light. If anything pushes on it, then it would push back with the same amount of force so that nothing can get though," Evelyn explained. "I used it earlier to try and stall the Voidbringers."
  9. "That would work great! I just need to take down the Aon Edo I made earlier. It should be just a few blocks away if anyone wants to come with me." Evelyn didn't think there would be any trouble taking the wall down, but it would probably be best not to split up too much.
  10. "Uh . . . Maybe? Iit would probably be dangerous. I'd rather not try if I don't have to."
  11. "I can just walk if there's not enough room. Just give me an address and I'll meet you there? I think I might have a glowing wall of light that I need to take care of."
  12. Evelyn shook her head. "Nope. No car. We weren't supposed to be here long, and I also can't drive yet. If we had needed one, then Callisto, the person who came here with me, would have probably gotten one."
  13. "My name is Evelyn Reed. I'd rather not explain here in case those voidbringers come back. Is there somewhere else we could go so I can explain?"
  14. "I guess that's good enough. So, yes. I do have powers, though they aren't exactly recent. I'm an Elantrian, and rather new to the city. What to we do now? Should we go after those people? Voidbringers don't sound like a good thing."
  15. "No? Not exactly . . ." "You were the person at the entrance, the one who called out, right? I was worried that those - what did you call them again? Voidbringers? - were going to go after you. What's your name?" Evelyn asked, eager to change the topic. She didn't want to talk about her abilities until she knew who who they were and why they were here.
  16. "Powers? What sort of powers?" Evelyn said, trying to dodge to question. She had no idea who these people were "What brought you guys here anyways? It seemed pretty deserted before."
  17. "Yeah, red eyes. Why do you ask? Also, can you please put the gun away? I'm not going to attack you or anything, and it's a slight deterrent to rational conversation," Evelyn said, trying to edge slightly away from Jamie.
  18. "My name's Evelyn, and those people are dangerous! They were chasing me, and I think now they're after someone else. There was someone, a woman I think, by the entrance, and they called out. After she did, the people, the ones with red eyes, started running in their direction. Please, we need to stop them before someone gets hurt," Evelyn said, wanting to stop the people, but being stopped by the sight of the newcomers gun.
  19. The door creaked open, and a girl with auburn hair and green eyes walked in. The creak was actually quite impressive, beginning before the door started to open, and ending only after it had been closed for half a second. If you looked closely, then you may have been able to see a small spren zipping away from the hinges after it finished creaking. The girl seemed totally oblivious to the loud creak and the rest of the people standing around, and began to examine the shelves of many books. Then she gasped, pulling out some type of guidebook or something. She flipped through the pages for a moment before finding what she was looking for. It was a picture of the very same room as she now stood in, though with a few subtle changes. The girl's eyes widened and she walked over to the closest person and whispered in an awed voice "Is this the Knights Awkward? You guys are famous! I mean, the bookies, and the library . . . So many books . . ." She trailed off, a hungry look in her eyes.
  20. "Hello? Anybody here?" Evelyn heard. It was a new voice, definitely not one of the people chasing her, but she didn't have the breath to respond. Then, she heard the footfalls behind her slow. Evelyn glanced back to see the people who had been chasing her turn away, starting towards the noise. Evelyn felt a spike of panic. They were going to go after the person who had called out. Evelyn skidded to a stop, turned, and began to draw frantically. She still couldn't call out to warn the person who had called out, but maybe she could warn them a different way. The first Aon Daa hit one of blond guy's lackeys, a petite woman with short brown hair. The Aons still weren't doing as much as they should have, but hopefully it would be enough. @AonEne @Dr. Dapper
  21. Evelyn ran though the empty park. She saw another exit and went though, swinging around to go back towards where she had been when those strange people found her. Evelyn had been told to stay put, and she didn't want to stray too far in case she missed the people the elantrians had sent.
  22. Evelyn skidded around another corner, ducking behind a park wall, and began to sketch Aon Daa in the air. She could hear her pursuers gaining again. Evelyn quickly added the modifiers that would make it so the Aon only activated when she tapped it and started on more, using both hands to draw.Evelymn managed to finish five Aons before the people found her. One rounded the corner, and Evelyn fired off her first Aon. It hit them head on with a blast of light, and the person got thrown backwards. "Lights," Evelyn said under her breath. "That blast should have been enough to disintegrate them. I, am in serious trouble." Evelyn fired off her remaining Aons and then started running again. She had managed to catch her breath some when she had paused to make Aons, but she couldn't keep her pace up for forever. The only good news was that the people/things chasing her were getting tired to. Not as quickly, true, but at least there was a silver lining. She could no doubt take pleasure in that fact when they finally managed to catch and possibly kill her.
