  1. It seemed like there was a different secret society involved, definitely implied they were world hoppers to some extent as well. Based off the Ars Arcanum it looks like Khriss has people active on Roshar now as well with her apparently sending someone into the Stoneward Ranks.
  2. To cultivate the cosmere maybe? Sazed said in the letters that a shard can't really resist their Shardic intent for too long so assumably something relating to cultivation. Might be trying to pull a "through war they'll grow stronger" sorta deal but not sure. Honestly what she thought she'd get out of Taravangian ascending we probably won't find out until either book 5 or Brandon lets something slip in a WOB.
  3. real question is in the WOB where Brandon says he'd take ingenuity, was he referring to invention or a different shard?
  4. It wasn't the Sanderlanch that got me this time but the plot twists. Oh boy was that a wild ride at the end.
  5. On their interaction. On Shallan's past
  6. As an Australian I can confirm I foolishly decided to check if I could download it at 1am on the 18th... I did not sleep until 7am, woke up at mid day and then kept reading until I finished it at like 8pm.... Tho I was also trying to get uni work done so that probably slowed me down.
  7. Honestly not sure, tho based off quickly reading the Coppermind article I'd doubt it.
  8. Tbh idm it, tho I'd say it was probably the one I was least invested in. Imo I can definitely see him being the one people refer to when they talked about suddenly being asked to be interested in a certain character. If anything it sorta felt like a bit of a side arc to what was happening with Shallan, like it was her plot but we needed to see from Adolins perspective to understand what happened. You get a pretty good explanation + a whole bunch of cosmere magic world building. Couple of the piece are only briefly mentioned but there's enough in there to have a pretty good picture
  9. I didn't spot any other shards on my read through but you might have better luck than me. Sanderson really did just kinda go "hey, have some shard names".
  10. Always good to be hopeful haha. Also what's your take on the mixture of Odium and Honour being War and the mixture of Honour and Cultivation being Science (possibly, wasn't nearly as confirmed as the other one)? Science makes sense for Honour and Cultivation tho imo it strays close to Invention and it doesn't really sound shardy. War sorta makes sense but I was expecting something a bit more surprising I guess. Also my new crackpot theory is that theirs a rhythm for ever permutation of combining the different shards. Spoilers in case you haven't finished the book.
  11. Also I'm not too sure. I definitely didn't see the twist coming but I was sorta hoping Brandon didn't go down the path of her losing alters. I completely and utterly agree with the F**k Moash sentiment. He only makes things worse. Also thinking considering that Hoid seems to be playing his hand a lot more in this book and that the Big T has figured out a real good way to manipulate him I'm scared for what'll happen in Book 5. Honestly I took that as more the name of a scholarly contemporary of Khriss more than anything.
  12. Not quite there yet, I'll probably come back here when I'm properly finished.
  13. Still getting through the rest of it. Honestly I'm both terrified for the future cause the shard is probably a lot more dangerous now but also happy cause the big T was probably one of my more favourite characters.
  14. So ah, for when other people get there. Anyone else left utterly speechless by chapter 113. I legitimately put down my phone and just repeated "what' for about 30 seconds...
  15. Imo I'm thinking the Windrunners fourth oath is gonna be deciding which group of people specifically they are going to prioritise protecting. Sorta like the Skybreakers fourth ideal where they need to dedicate themselves to carrying out a particular a particular crusade. It's gonna be choosing to dedicate themselves to something. For Kaladin I'm guessing that it'll probably come off the surgeon training and be something along the lines of "I will only protect those that I can".
  16. Tbh considering Odiums access to fortune it could legitimately just be him telling Moash what to say in order to screw with Kaladin the most. Tho that would also suggest there's a reason Odium would want to target Kaladin specifically.
  17. It could be causing what amounts to ecological devastation for the Spren or some other unforeseen consequence? We don't really understand how they reproduce or their role with the ecosystem.
  18. I'm about to go into an exam so I'll try and dig out quotes later but. You've got Nale and Kalak(I think) talking to Elhokar and Gavilar. Jezrian was at the beggars feast. (Dalinar's perspective) There's references to Shallash doing shallash things(destroyed art of her) so assumably she's there.(Dalinar's perspective) There's also theories I've heard that one of the heralds was the assassin Liss that Jasnah talked to.(Jasnah perspective) My memories hazy tho so I'll need to come back and double check stuff.
  19. It's all good happy to help. Thanks for the welcome as well!
  20. I've passed on your question, just gotta hope it gets enough upvotes to be noticed now.
