  1. " Killing Voidbringers. Trying not to be killed." You came awfully close this time murmured Onyx. So close to losing your flame of life, yes. "And nearly failing." @ShardofThought
  2. "Well, welcome home. It's a mess, but I call it home. We've got enough food to feed an army in the fridge, help yourself. Oh, and Shana, one of our Dustbringers, brought cookies. Take one!" She gestured toward the cookies, then snatched one for herself. Onyx bled out onto the countertop, leaving a dark stain on the pale granite.
  3. "All of them," answered Leona. "But Elsecallers are obviously the best order." Onyx melted out of her sleeve to hover over by Draug's shoulder. @xinoehp512 @Jaywalk
  4. "And I," added Leona, "am Leona. I'm an Elsecaller. Basically means I can lock myself in the Cognitive realm and make things into cake." "Welcome to the Knights Next Door." @Dr. Dapper @xinoehp512
  5. “Shana! You’re bleeding.” Leona turned to face a different voidbringer and swung again. Her swords sliced deep through the Voidbringer. Finally. “One down!” she called
  6. Leona fell fowards, catching herself just before she hit the ground. She’d have to do some serious training later. Standing up, she moved to strike again, air whistling past her swords. If she could just get one hit... ====== The woman sidestepped again and laughed, a harsh grating sound. The foolish girl would fall. It was clear she had not trained. Was this humanity’s last hope? A joke. She drew the item out of her pocket and held it in her hand. A grim smile crossed her face as the gem began to swirl with dark violet light.
  7. “Rob? My day isn’t going so well because- in case you didn’t notice- we’re fighting voidbringers.” And with that, she lunged toward the woman with the glowing red eyes.
  8. “Shana. Thank the storms you’re here.” Leona drew her swords. “I’ve got stormlight but I shouldn’t run because I don’t think our edge dancers want to fix my ankle again. Let’s just get this over with.” @Sorana @NoiseSpren
  9. “Yeah!” Agreed Leona, catching on to Andrew’s stalling. “Those rules really are quite stupid. I wanted to take - uh- Fluffy on a walk today but I couldn’t because of the new rules.” Some backup would be nice. She thought. Doc we need you.
  10. "I... I guess?" Onyx melted back into her jacket. Always helpful. She thought. Can't tell me how to get out of this, but can stain my jacket. "I'm only second Ideal. The careful part clearly hasn't kicked in." Clearly not. said Onyx. Get it together. You're a figurative mess and about to be a literal one if you don't figure this out.
  11. "Rob? There's voidbringers and also I didn't want to do my homework so we're going to fight them grab your stuff let's go!" She half-walked half-jogged, her ankle was going to get her killed. Then she remembered she had transportation. She gasped. Stormlight rushed into her lungs, and the world darkened. She was in Shadesmar. She thought about where the Voidbringers would be, and then exhaled. The world lightened again and her feet hit solid ground, not just beads. She looked around and saw nothing amiss. Just park benches. There it was. A Voidbringer. On first glance, it looked like a young woman with blond hair and blue eyes. But as she looked, she could see faint tendrils of red lightning crackling around its eyes.
  12. Given a necessity of 2000 tons of water per day, you get about 530,000 gallons. A hand pump can have an output of about 2 gallons per minute. But that assumes you're pumping really fast. In reality, it'd be around 1 gallon/minute. That's 530,000 minutes you'd need to spend pumping. You'd need 368 wells running nonstop in order to supply water. That's a lot. And a lot of time. But if you can get the rate to 2 gallons per minute, it becomes 184. If we assume Urithiru has really sophisticated pumps, with 10 gallons per minute, then you could run about 40 wells and have water left over. Anyone with knowledge on this subject please correct me. If we have an idea of water table depth that'd be helpful too. Side note: IIRC, there is a gemstone column in Urithiru mentioned in Oathbringer made of rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and garnets. These are the gems used to soulcast heat/fire, air, grain/plants, and water/non-oil respectively.
  13. Leona grabbed a set of infused gems, a knife, and her traditional pair of swords. The swords were about 2 and a half feet long, with one side of the blade curving inward. "I'm going with y'all! Don't leave me behind!" @Sorana @Lunamor
  14. When someone in your math class asks why you can't divide by 0 and you yell "That's inappropriate!"
  15. You graduate from university. But now you will never find a job. I wish to be a cadmium misting so I can skip to SA 4.
  16. "I'll take a croissant." Leona said. She opened the pantry and smiled. There was Nutella! She retrieved a croissant off the counter and then slathered it with a liberal dose of Nutella. Yes. said Onyx. I love Nutella. "You- you can't eat." I can taste it through the cognitive realm. Shadesmar. Which made her realize she had training. And homework.
  17. "Horrible," answered Leona. "The second violins keep messing up, I have a ton of homework, and also there isn't root beer." She decided to just drink water. She supposed she could have soulcasted it, but what would be the point? Onyx was always going on and on about stormlight conservation. "How was your day?"
  18. I'm not quite sure. I have 107 posts and I can upload images. Try and PM an Admin and see if they can lift your ban. They may, they may not. I don't know. You should still be able to add things to the galleries though.
  19. Welcome to the Shard, Critterweaver! Don't accept any cookies, they steal your soul. Avoid the DA.
  20. Leona flung the front door open and stomped inside. She had at least an hour of pre-cal homework, then another hour of biology, and on top of that, Onyx was being whiny. She didn't want to go to school. It was boring. Leona realized that Onyx probably had a point. She found Doc in the kitchen. "Do we have any root beer?" she asked. Sugar was probably not the best thing to have before physical training, but hey, high school took a lot out of a person.
