  1. "Engineering? Yep. What kind? And where can I find a moenychanger?" Engineering and physics had been her two favorite subjects. A lot of good that had done Tanya.
  2. "Honestly, we don't do much in the way of defending. We just attack Voidbringers whenever we see them. And when we do, its pretty close." Leona said.
  3. Your sketch is awesome! I love the idea- iron or steel mistings shooting around on skateboards.
  4. "Don't know. Maybe a library or something?" She shrugged. "I have some combat training. What I really have though is book knowledge. Tactics, mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology, literature, Rosharan history, and so on." She decided against mentioning her Radiancy. "What currency do they use here? All I got are spheres. Dun- no less."
  5. Storms. “Thanks.” she said. The chouta was good, still warm. After what felt like months of fish, any food was welcome.
  6. She considered this. Would it be suspicious if she ordered Rosharan food? They had chouta, they’ed likely have it all. “I suppose I’ll have the chouta, orange wine if you have it, and the carrot cake.” Quite similar to what her friend was ordering. Oh well.
  7. “Yes,” replied Adriana. “What food you got here?”
  8. Leona walked in, eyes widening. She'd never seen a place like this before. It was quite different from the Alethi taverns she'd been in.
  9. Leona felt her face heat. "Usually when a radiant gets their powers, the powers are - uh- erratic. They can be triggered by strong emotions. Long story short, this kid spread some unsavory rumors about me. I soulcast his shoes to stone. Don't know how. Didn't go to shadesmar. Just happened. Anyway, the teachers had fun digging him out." that isn't the whole story said Onyx in Leona's head. "As for the cake, I forgot my lunch, and I was really hungry."
  10. "Alright then." Leona followed him. "You think I could find a job or something? I'm not exactly full of money." A lie, but he didn't need to know that. Most of her money was in spheres, which were dun now. She'd transferred all her stormlight into her bracelet. Somehow, she'd have to find a supply. "Also, what is a guild? Can I join one?"
  11. "It's most unfortunate. You'll probably get placed in classes with me and the others, depending on how old you are and your education." Leona wanted to scream at the mere thought of school. "Anyway, don't do anything super suspicious while there. There have been some close calls in the past." like the time you soulcast the locker into cake? or the boy's shoes to stone?
  12. "Obviously, a lot of us are gone during the day for school. But we come here for training, food, cake, and to hang out. Also, while cake is delicious, we should probably at an actual lunch. What do you guys want?"
  13. "Sounds good. What money do they use here? And- we aren't in the city right now?"
  14. "I find that slightly disturbing. Regardless, could you please direct me to some food? I am starving."
  15. "That- that's not quite how it works. See, I have to convince the play-doh to be cake first." still not how it works. "That's Onyx. She's my spren. She's a rather- ah, interesting character."
  16. "You've never had cake for breakfast? Well you're in for a treat, Draug." She passed him a plate piled high with chocolate cake, and a plastic fork.
  17. "How- how did you know?"
  18. "Your- your sister? I just arrived here. I don't think I've seen her. In fact, I have not seen anyone since you. Do you know where I could find lodging?" The man did not look like anyone she'd seen before. His eyes were shaped oddly, and he wasn't nearly as tall as some of the Alethi. "Oh," she added. "I never caught your name."
  19. Adriana noticed a man walking towards her. Sparks hid behind her head. She put one of her hands in her jacket, making sure the knife was still there. "What do you want?" she asked. People never walked up to someone without a reason.
  20. Adriana stepped off the small boat that had somehow carried her from Kharbranth. Sparks, her spren, floated around her head. we're finally here. what shall you do now? "I don't know," she replied. "All I wanted was to get away from Roshar. From- from the ." Her eyes watered, but she steeled herself and waved farewell to the small vessel. The lines were reeled back into the boat, and it sailed off into the sunset. Now what?
  21. "Like ever?" asked Leona. "Are you allergic to something?" no more cake muttered Onyx. you are wasting your powers. "Anyway. We got pancakes but they're cold. I could make some more cake?"
  22. “Thanks. I can soulcast anything. The closer to the ten essences the better. And cake. I can’t soulcast gemstones or stormlight. I can’t soulcast things out of thin air, I need a focus. Anyway. Chocolate?” She closed her eyes, and opened them into Shadesmar. She selected a pre-shaped cube of play doh, and willed it to become chocolatey goodness. When she opened her eyes, she was holding a large slice of cake. She gave it to Flid.
  23. Leona sat down in a chair. “Anyone else want cake?”
