"It's time to die." Buildings all around Tels began to crumble to dust, chunks of stone falling as if they were nothing more than sand castles being washed away by the tide. When all of the dust settled, Tels spotted a man, in resplendent armor, holding oily black shardblades that seemed to make the very air around them burn, step forward. He was surrounded by other fierce-looking warriors, each one more appearing more dangerous than the last. Tels felt a chill in his bones. The beast had been hard enough, and Tels knew that these creatures would be much more deadly. He sent a quick message to Althea on his communicator, miraculously unbroken from the fight. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing? What are your orders?" Tels sent. Turning back to Mike, and addressing Wes, Seom, and the new woman that had just appeared, Tels said, "Until Althea says otherwise, orders are to fight for our lives, do what we can to protect ourselves and anyone else we find. You guys are more equipped than I am right now; I'm out of white sand, and unless any of you have a way to restore Investiture, I'll be practically useless in a fight. Be careful.
