  1. Sorry. Glitch I am fixing now.
  2. It does make me wonder about this place's magic system. Of all of the investitures to have lying around Ambition's is probably the most dangerous.
  3. This was my initial impression as well.
  4. The same thing as Dalinar in the same vision. Honor's voice is not adaptable.
  5. He does not have any tors and the last part should be very well plotted by now...
  6. So that Vivenna's choice to join one or the other is not motivated by practicality. Just saying keep an open mind but it is a good catch.
  7. Minus the Heralds anyway. Still waiting for Taln to get up swear an ideal of 4 and smash a fused army like chocolate.
  8. An interesting point. Although only about 2000 years actually.
  9. I do think WoK voidbringer reveal is the best one so far. That being said. Dalinar's Honor visions. The entire, "you were not being vague you have prerecorded responses" reveal is fantastic. Also Saze as the hero of ages.
  10. I would be a westie. Small energetic and chewing on everything.
  11. Some of them anyway. You absolutely can. I just take issue with your understanding of the line "most feared by the Radiants" to mean only the Radiants and no one else. Is it possible that she can do stuff to the Radiants or Heralds that she can't to anyone else absolutely. Does that mean that this specific word choice must be significant not at all. And then the thunderclast shows up. Sounds like a trap to me. If it was a literal escort then it was not doing the basic body guard job of staying next to the person that they were supposed to protect. If the edgedancer had been slightly faster then they could have caught up with the Sja-annat spren before the thunderclast showed up. So the fact that I happened to take a position in a different discussion that was somewhat related to this one makes it OK for you to quote my opinion, state that I believe it as fact and then state incorrectly what I made this thread for some kind of ego boost? Perhaps just summarize your beliefs about Odium's forces with whatever proof you can come up with and then lets just drop this. I don't think it is going anywhere helpful.
  12. I am pointing out that this is 5th hand information at best so getting hung up on individual word choices is not productive. She has been shown be right in general but treating everything she says like gospel is likely to make problems. Mistborn spoilers This is what I am referring to. The spren is leading them into a trap. They chase it and then suddenly the thunderclast shows up. This is my personal opinion. I could well be wrong. Realizing this possibility is what makes me a scientist as apposed to some random idiot on the internet. This is completely unfair. I noticed what appears to be an interesting inconsistency and thought that other people might be interested. I am not trying to definitively prove anything. I seriously doubt that we can. Alright that is fine but try and stay on track. I do not want this to become a Sja-anat speculation thread.
  13. We don't really know Trell's goals. Until we do speculation is difficult but it is a rather good plan depending.
  14. These only work in a select few areas. Food is hard to move on Roshar due to the highstorms. WoBs indicate he was on the Bondsmith path and had been shown the visions. Very good. It also had easy living conditions. Yeah but they kept getting blasted by Desolations. Modern fabrail science is fairly recent. For example only the richest people in Kaladin's hometown have any and even they don't know much about how it works. Not really sure about this. It would make some tasks much easier(e.g purifying iron in a forge). I bet the Rosharans are pretty used to it. Every few days sometimes. Yes this is a much greater problem. Without wide scale transit you have no way of supplying a large urban population that you need to industrialize. We don't actually know how difficult actually making a fabrail is. It is possible that they had the idea over a thousand years ago but it took generations of tinkering to actually get it right(like the steam engine). Time means very little to someone like Odium he is kind of a constant. He does his best to slow things down where he can but I don't actually know if he wants to get rid of innovation. The spanread network has been as much a problem for Dalinar as a help.
  15. Give women to eyed people. Then they may blindfold the kidnapped people take them through a pool and then have them wait their for a while saying that Trell is enhancing the speed of the project.
  16. TLR stopped scientific advancement but he also directly or indirectly preserved many different technologies that were important fpr example metallurgy, steel working, the mathematics of supply. Later Saze gave everyone the words of founding that helped them immeasurably. Meanwhile on Roshar the population was scattered and had fallen dramatically. They had the wars of the false desolation through 2thousand years ago and then the war of loss(church control). Really Roshar has only been advancing for maybe 300 years from subsistence farming. With the help of ancient records, and societal structures. You are correct in that the unification was quite random but it would not have been short lived because of Gavilar's assassination. Sadeas was not planing on taking power from Gavilar. He only claims that he would have because at that point he is a thrill addict. Dalinar had largely outlived his usefulness to Gavilar at that point. No one was going to confront him militarily. Elhokar would have been a fairly week king but if he had ascended after several more decades of education and to a throne surrounded by competent and loyal advisors he would have done decent job. I personally think their peace is a bit overblown. Tukar and Emul have been at war since forever for example. Also they have fewer soulcasters, were conquered and badly damaged during the sunmaker's wars. They have fewer soulcasters and the availability of large gemstones may be less. Additionally most of their intellectuals go into their enormous bureaucracy to the best of our knowledge they don't have the large scientific institutions maintained by the ardentia. Or maybe his bondsmith powers are kicking in.
  17. A better option might be the silverlight method whatever it is for time dilation. We know the set are worldhoppers.
  18. But each would burn each other faster compounding the speed of the burning in a kind of feedback loop.
  19. They are also aligned with dominion who would not necessarily object to ownership or providing a service if it meant personal benefits.
  20. I have always found the real question to be what happens it two nicrobursters touch each other.
  21. Dalinar's WoKs speech at the battle of the tower still gives me goose bumps and I must have read it a hundred times.
  22. Yeah. Otherwise my theory would have a bunch of holes in it.
  23. No problem. This is basically where I am coming from. In terms of invested objects Nightblood is a class by itself. Vivenna's sword is less potent but(if I am right) much more specialized. I think I got the specialty.
