    We have no idea what their government is. They have lost their momentum but alethkar is still not just there for the taking. Any battle for the place will be dramatically difficult. The fused have been training the parshe for months now and can field a large standing army. They can also delay any invasion by hitting the invading army repeatedly with flying fused that the windrunners can't counter yet.

Because Blushweaver is not an idiotic selfish megalomaniac? Lack of political skill is not the same as lack of wisdom. Elhokar did demonstrate some and could have learned more given time. Elhokar does not subscribe to the toxic masculinity of the alethi court. That does not mean he is not strong. And a Lightweaver? The annotations say that her actions are motivated by jealousy. She feels threatened by royalty. That indicates that to some degree she respects it. I don't find paranoid living in a castle or leading a personality cult particularly healthy. A relationship that requires work, compromise, and commitment on the other hand...
