Aln followed, taking a deep breath. On her way out, she hung a small sign on the door. The Guild leader is out at the moment. Thank you for your patience. Then, clutching the spanreed in her pocket, she continued into the city with her sister.

Aln smiled back, tentatively. "I can show you around. There are some really cool things in this city. But, well, you need to be careful talking to the DA. What if I just put an announcement in the newspaper?" As she spoke, she grabbed her satchel, sliding the spanreed and notebook inside it.

From the light that filters in through the hole above you, you can see that the excavation extends before and behind you, fading quickly into darkness. It appears to be some sort of tunnel.

"No, I-" Aln didn't know how to respond. "I couldn't hear you." The excuse felt lame even before it left her mouth. If Temeria wanted to leave, she should just let her. But as she moved away, Aln finally let herself acknowledge the truth: she was desperately, profoundly lonely. Suddenly she was 16 again, alone, the words of strangers invisible. She was once more trying desperately to summon Stormlight, to hear the voice of her spren, as the cries of her friends vanished to her eyes. Temeria would be in the way. Her presence made it increasingly difficult for Aln to function. It would be better for all parties if the two went their separate ways. But Aln didn't care. "You could stay," she ventured. "Or- or I could come with you. Outside."

Aln glanced up, noticing movement out of the corner of her eye. Temeria seemed to be headed toward the door. "Where are you going?" She asked, a little startled. Her eyes darted to the spanreed, now motionless, and back at her sister. She was leaving so soon? Aln stood, searching for an objection. She had panicked when Temeria had arrived; why was she now so desperate for her to stay?

Sarah walked off to the other side of the cavern. There was a pool half shrouded behind a stalactite. She glanced back at the rest of the group, feeling rather sheepish. If you move fast enough, they won't be able to see anything, she told herself sternly. She rather regretted the use of Bendalloy, but it was cheaper here than it had been on Scadrial, and she had brought plenty. Still, she felt guilty at downing the vial. As soon as she entered the water, her exhaustion seemed to seep from her into everything around her. She hadn't thought herself to be particularly stressed or tired, but a moment alone in a dark cave apparently contradicted that. The shimmer of the bubble in the corner of her eye reminded her that every second spent was another few dollars of Bendalloy spent, and she hurried to grab her soap.

Sarah sighed, glancing through the steam at the pools of warm water. It suddenly struck her that she was incredibly grimy. And she had been on her feet all day... "Will you be alright for a moment if I take a quick bath?" she said to Fasi. @Oduim’s Chmapion

You try to dodge Itiah's swing, but the sword still takes you in the side. Grimacing and stumbling from the pain, you stretch forward the hand with the Soulcaster and seize his arm. He tries to pull away, but you will him into air, and he vanishes, the sword clattering to the ground, clothes falling, crumpled, in an empty heap. Across the sky outside arches a photograph of Itiah, accompanied by his name and district. The first death of the game has come in the first few minutes. Sorry, @I think I am here.. Someone had to go first.

Sorry, Itiah's role beat yours. The sword is at least going to nick you. Doesn't mean you can't Soulcast him, though.

If the items are near each other on the list, you can try to grab two at once. Since this bit is so heavily dependent on the actions of the other players, though, I hesitate to allow more than that. If someone would have stopped you, they should have that chance.

Your offer is kind, and I admit that I'm tempted. Still, my home is here. The Alleyverse would hold no place for me. I do hope to stay in touch with you, Temeria. Can I call you Tem, by the way? I have been in my head for years. Anyway, for now I suppose I'll send messages through Aln.

Your fingers touch the cool gems of the soulcaster. You clutch it toward you. You are now in the center of the cavern, right next to @I think I am here. Your thudding footsteps take you toward the forest, and trees come into focus. You're able to discern the fact that it's raining, but suddenly the ground beneath your foot caves. You fall, and land with a thud, surrounded by darkness.

Your madcap dash brings you further out into the center of the barren plains. You can see in the distance what appears to be a sort of thick forest. To the other side is a flat land covered in sand. In which direction would you like to run? Your lunge toward the supplies ends with you holding a huge sword, sheathed, a strap dangling from it. Unless someone tries to stop you, this is performed successfully. Your position in the cave leads you toward an exit from which a bright white light is emanating. You can see a field of what appears to be show, dotted with a few low bushes.

Since you didn't specify which object, I'll pick one from the edge. Unless you want to change that. Your hand finds a long, coiled rope, and it drags on the floor behind you as you run. You can see a flat plain through the exit of the cave; a blue sky above a field of various grasses.

The mechanical whirr of the platforms stop with a click as the tributes are raised into the arena. You stand in an even circle, around the massive, golden form of the curved horn which is the Cornucopia. A soft light emanates from it, revealing your surroundings. You stand in a dark chamber, evidently underground. You can see three exits, through which the soft light of day shines. Arranged in careful rings around you are piles of supplies and weapons. A voice booms from an unseen speaker: "Let the Games begin!" You are suddenly free to step off your platform. @AonEne @Sorana @kenod @I think I am here. @Lunamor @Snipexe @Blessing of Potency @Jaywalk @I RashekRashek @John FlamesingerFlamesinger @Invocation @xinoehp512 @ZincAboutIt @Clyde MeepinsMeepins @Silva @The Last Post @Truthless of ShinovarShinovar (The list of sponsors included Clyde Froggins- I assume that means Clyde Meepins? I would hope to. Perhaps I can find a way to procure another spanreed, although resources are in increasingly scarce. The pen began to write something else, then stopped. There was a moment of silence, then the scratching of the pen resumed. I just had a thought. When did you last get word of the events on Roshar?
