  1. That's honestly what I think is going to happen. I am surprised that this thread still exists.
  2. Maybe, but let's not get out of hand (spamming, etc.). Basically, don't break any rules.
  3. So, I was recently dared by a friend to try and get @Chaos to respond to my post. So, here I am. If any of you admins or moderators find this post inappropriate, please don't obliterate me with spikes and pancakes. If you are just the average joe, please help me get a response from Chaos. I would greatly appreciate it. If you are Chaos, please respond so I can shove it in my friend's face (not really, but I will sport serious bragging rights). Thanks!
  4. My favorites are: The Lord of the Rings Card Game, Star Realms (classic edition, not that weird colony thing), Super Dungeon Explore, Munchkin, Dungeons and Dragons (if that counts as a board game), Curses, Solitaire, and several games of my own make (which may or may not be playable). Other games that I like: Apples to Apples, Exploding Kitten, Ticket to Ride, Survive, Rummikub, Chess, etc.
  5. Let's go! I have always loved Sixth of the Dusk, and now there is finally a sequel. I hope that Sixth will do something with Worldhopping.
  6. Hello and welcome to the Shard! Be wary of any baked goods offered to you, as they may destroy you (waffles are the exception. Waffles are delicious). What is your favorite Brandon Sanderson book or series?
  7. I almost cried when... And... I am not a big crier, though. Don't judge, please.
  8. Finally! Another place where people can talk about the ONLY real food in this universe: WAFFLES!!!!!!!!!! Edit: Can I join?
  9. Jordis? (Allick's captain and the leader of the Brunstell) (Technically not a Feruchemist, because the medallions use nicrosil Feruchemy)
  10. From what I know, anyone can hold a Shard, but (like Vin vs. Kelsier) they might not get as much "usability" out of the Shard. I think that the real question, however, is which Herald should be able to hold a Shard (with some of them being crazy and all). Sorry if this is wrong. I am not really good when it comes to deep theorizing.
  11. Hello @MasterK-Bob! What is your favorite Sanderson magic system? If you are looking for a non-Cosmere book to try, I highly recommend Skyward or The Rithmatist. They are both really good books, and Skyward has a sequel coming in December (Yay!). If you haven't already, you might want to look into the history of BAKED GOODS here on the Shard (specifically cookies)...
  12. I didn't know about this until a while ago, but boy am I happy that I found it. I have a cousin who has autism, and I know several other people who have some mental health disabilities. If there is anyone who reads this that struggles with any type of mental issue, know that you have my (and many other's) support.
  13. Thanks, @Kidpen! I am definitely going to participate in that.
  14. For Elend: Would you rather spend your time at a party awkwardly talking and dancing with people or sitting alone reading a good book? (If that one is too specific): Would you rather read or socialize?
  15. (Sorry if this doesn't belong here. I couldn't think of a better place to put it) So, I have noticed that there are a lot of people who have added a green tint to their profile pictures( @Truthless of Shinovar, @Lunamor , @Gancho Libre, etc.) Anyway, is this just a glitch, or is there a reason for it that I didn't know (a challenge, guild sign, etc.)? Thanks!
  16. You do not need to read Elantris for The Emporers Soul, but you do for The Hope of Elantris (that is in my opinion. Some think that it works as a standalone with some spoilers). Either way, Arcanum Unbounded is a really good book, so go ahead and just skip the Elantris parts if that is holding you back from reading any of it.
  17. Note that I am not a premier authority when it comes to the complex workings of metabolism, cellular respiration, or any other related process, but here are my thoughts. I think that a bendalloy ferring, instead of storing actual nutrients, stores the "feeling" of being hungry or thirst. Say, for example, that someone eats three days worth of food in an hour, storing tow days worth in a bendalloymind. Then, they can go for two days without food, drawing upon the "anti-hunger" (super scientific words going on here) to keep themselves from being hungry. I do not know if someone can store physical fat or the like in a bendalloymind, so it is possible that only drawing upon nutrition from a bendalloymind might have bad effects, but nothing I have said is verified, so this is just me speculating. Sorry if I am totally confused about the physics of this.
  18. Nice. Allomacy is one of my favorites too. If you want to learn more about Hoid, there is a Coppermind article (be very wary of spoilers) and plenty of stuff about him here on the Shard.
  19. I would definitely be a Mistborn and Full Feruchemist. If I could, I would also like to be a Truthwatcher or an Elescaller. And if it was possible, an Inquisitor.
  20. Welcome to the Shard! Make sure to read up on cookies (it's kind of a big deal here) before you accept any! What's your favorite character? Magic system? Now, onto books: Elantris is pretty good, but it starts a little slow. It is a great book though. If you're looking for a book outside of the Cosmere, then Skyward is a really good one. The Rithmatist is also one of my favorite non-Cosmere books.
  21. (Just so you know, this topic would probably be better placed in the Stormlight Archive Forum or the Intro Forum instead of here). I think that the 3rd shadow spren is possibly Odium's, but I am not sure about how Odium interacts with spren and Shards, so this may be very wrong. Hope this helps!
  22. Lift? If not, then maybe Talik?
  23. This thread is full of people just like me. After I read Brandon Sanderson, almost every new book I read is full of cliches and coincidences. I don't know where it came from, but this "Sanderson-Induced Book Withdrawl" is causing me to re-read books for the third time and more. Not that I don't like re-reading Sanderson books. Since the books are in the same universe, there is a lot of theorizing that can occur.
