  1. I have been told that I have an unhealthy obsession with blades. I have been called a Nazi sympathiser for listening to Primo Victoria by Sabaton, which honestly, I still can't grasp the reason for. I was called a "No good vandalist' and "Qu**r druggy" by an two older men who were yelling at me as I walked through an unfamiliar neighborhood in a town 2000 miles from where I live. To be quite frank, I ran after that. Mistaken identity, I presume...I wasn't any of those things and didn't know either of the gentlemen. *realises that none of my experiences were particularly positive* The world is a very weird place.
  2. Jasnah's encounter is in the prologue to Words of Radience, on page 21 through 22.

    Moash

From the album: Stormlight Archive Fanart

This is not fine art by a stretch, but I couldn't find a lot of pictures of Moash, so I made one.
  6. "Honor is dead, but I'll see what I can do." - Kaladin Stormblessed
  7. Welcome.
  8. Good point, that's why a non absolute chain of command is ideal, so that one can bend it in dire situations without threat of execution. However a non absolute chain of command is still quite different from anarchy.
  9. So, how to put this. If you had an old friend, who seemed like the best man you knew, and he had a reputation for being honest, how would you stack his word (and the word of 19 other individuals) against one man with a reputation for honesty who you didn't know? Dalinar is uncertain, and you can see that in the chapters with his narrative. The punishment is childish Elhokar's fault. Dalinar did all in his power to lessen it. Without a chain of command any large force would be chaotic and ineffective at best. When the violent revolutionary force rose up it would lack order and get flattened by any organized millitant group, would it not?
  10. And then you usually get Communism. Yay! Jokes aside, authority is important, particularly in the military, to maintain, order and chain of command. That is what the army is all about. On the other hand, if there is an evil tyrant, you assassinate him. So you certainly have a point there. I just don't belive in breaking up chain of command in the middle of a war, particularly a war that would have been lost without Dalinar.
  11. I can not say how ironic it is that I would have lost all respect for Kaladin should he have disobeyed orders from his general, Dalinar. The king ordered Kaladin to be punished, Dalinar there was doing the best possible thing he could've in his situation. I was kind of irratated with his decision to support Elhokar's assassins for a few chapters after that too. Overall he is still one of my favorite cosmere characters. Of course, I am one to talk, since I wanted Shallan to assassinate Amaram and soulcast his dead body to hide evidence throughout that entire book. It would however be quite out of character for her, I know.

    Chouta

Oh wait, you did. Nice job.
  13. Now put them in a burrito.
  14. "Granted, but it is your dog they follow, and it is messy, because they are all jealous lovers. Ten of them and your dog all kill one another in rages of passion in the first week. This is your bane." I wish that when I talked politics and joked with myself that I had differing opinions, because now our debates are storming boring.
  15. "Granted. They are truly indifferent but feign kindness and possibly love for you...in exchange for copious amounts of money. " "Bam!" Said the Nightwatcher, "A boon and a bane packed into one!" I wish for an abrasive and crass person to chat politics and exchange dirty jokes with.
  16. Ow, that struck way too close to the truth. We're actually hitting another recession right now (in Europe and the US at least). Granted. You stop breaking things and start breaking people. Your boon is that there are now a bunch of broken people out there, becoming Radiants, all wanting revenge on you. I wish for the manufacture of wolfram-core bullets in the United States of America to be legal.
  17. You get the infinite kittens. Your bane is that they all turn on you, maul you to death, and drink your blood. I wish for the ability to enter and/or pull out of the plot of any fantasy book ever written as any character, and the ability to this whenever and as much as I please.
  18. "Shshshshshshshshshshshshshshshshshsshshshshshshshshshshsh! Shshshshshshshshshshshshsh." ("Ah, miniscule being, your bane, why, your bane is to not be able to read! Of course you can't understand me.") Why do I even bother writing this if he sees it as Shshshshshshsh? Thought the Nightwatcher.
  19. "Granted, little human. You are now incapable of remembering how to read. Every word will look like Shshshshsh." "I wish for unlimited ammounts of tabasco except that it comes out of aerosol can in an atomized but very high pressure blast."
  20. "Your wish is granted but your bane...well, your bane..." I wish to challenge Brightlord Amaram to single combat.
  21. Damon heard Lita's pleas for half decent wine and turned to the selection of alcahols behind him, filling two tumblers with his best violet. "Here you go, Ladies, the deepest violet we have." He said, sliding the tumblers toward them.
  22. "Wonderfull," said Damon, getting out another bottle of port. "Go and tell our customers that they get a free bottle of port with every 400 chryst weapon purchase made." He turned "Oh, and that rooms are 30% off on opening night. Thank you."
  23. Damon walked back from the kitchens, seeing Hydries sulking behind the bar. "What's up Hydries? I see we've got business so we mightn't go bankrupt quite yet. Just finished getting the chickens out of the oven with the cook, here, I'll add them to the menu." MALLARD CHICKENS - HAGGLE FOR A GOOD PRICE
  24. Thanks a lot, good sir.
