  1. Has someone already made it?
  2. Tress of the Emerald Sea
  3. Jenny blushed even harder. Great, she’d given Roy even more ammo to make fun of her with. Of all people, Roy was certainly the worst to have been watching that interaction.
  4. She smiled even wider. She liked how it sounded when he said it. Jenny jumped, blushing. How long had Roy been watching them? ”Well that’s convenient then.”
  5. “Hmm…” She cocked her head. ”I like Jen. You don’t have to call me that if you don’t want to, though.” Jen was technically a nickname of a nickname- her full name was Jennifer- but she liked how it sounded.
  6. Jenny grinned. She was reasonably certain that he was listening to her. That was wonderful. ”I’m very glad about that too.” She paused for a moment, mulling over a question. It probably couldn’t hurt to ask. ”Can I call you Ed?”
  7. “You make me happy. I know I’m not wrong about that.” Jenny took his hands earnestly. ”I really like you, Edgar. I like you. Flaws and all. Someone who’s perfect at absolutely everything would be really, really boring.”
  8. “Edgar.” She placed her hand on the side of his face. Why couldn’t he see the person that she saw? ”Do you really think I would’ve settled for less than I deserve?”
  9. “Okay?” Was Declan planning to live in the wild? Street chouta was a very cheap option for survival. There wasn’t much to eat in the environment near Urithiru. It was on a rather rocky mountaintop.
  10. When the kiss finally ended and Jenny opened her eyes, she noticed a tear on Edgar’s face. He she accidentally stepped on his foot or something? She hadn’t talked, so she hadn’t said anything wrong this time. “You ok?” Was she just a really bad kisser?
  11. He was thanking her just for existing. For being her weird, creepy self. Jenny leaned into the kiss. 3 - 2. Still up by one.
  12. “For what?” While she didn’t know what Edgar was thanking her for, she appreciated it anyways. She smiled softly. He was so sweet.
  13. “Thank you.” Edgar seemed sincere. Some of the weight was lifted off of her shoulders. He had a way to protect himself now. Jenny blinked, and the blood disappeared. She sighed in relief, then sat down. Looking up towards the sky, she swore she could see a lightning bolt in the grey clouds. Zeus was getting angrier.
  14. “No, of course not!” An idea occurred to her. Jenny rifled through her pack, pulling out the vial of paralysis poison. Roy had been its intended target, but maybe he wasn’t the most dangerous person on the quest anymore. She handed it to Edgar. ”If I start scaring you, acting aggressive, please use this on me. It won’t hurt me, just incapacitate me until I can be restrained.”
  15. Lunamor raised an eyebrow. ”It has distilled shell, it is why it tastes better than lowlander wines. What do you mean by information?” Just when he thought that he had a regular customer, it turned out to be someone sketchy. Again.
  16. It's you and me, prisoner. Stay close!
  17. Hadvar! Into the keep, soldier, we're leaving!
  18. What in the Eight Divines is this thing?
  19. “I don’t like it either. It’s not me, I think. It knows things that I don’t know.” It knew about the approach of the furies before she did. Told her when people were lying. And it was what encouraged her to do bad things. What if it could use hallucinations to trick her into hurting Edgar? ”I’m worried, Edgar.”
  20. Quickly, follow me!
  21. “No, he’s gone. And this has happened before.” She shuddered as the blood started dripping off of his chin. ”Just not so realistically. I think… I think it has to do with the voice.” It had claimed that it was showing her the future last time she hallucinated this. Was it right? Technically it had been correct last time it claimed that. He’d been covered in his own blood during the fury fight.
  22. Lunamor smiled with pride. ”My name is Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor. You can call me Lunamor.” The man had a strange curse. Perhaps he was one of those, what were they called, worldjumpers?
  23. Stay close to the wall! How incredibly ominous.
  24. “Your chest, it’s…” Blood started dripping from the corners of his eyes and she shied back, her own eyes widening in fear. ”It looks like you’re covered in blood. Your own blood.” She fruitlessly tried to wipe the blood on her hands off on her clothing.
