“I love you too.” Somehow, despite the pain, Jenny found herself smiling slightly. Ed’s smile always managed to do that. It didn’t stop the tears from brimming in her eyes, however. ”Please be careful, ok?”
-
“Maybe you can take the trains back the way we came.” Jenny hated every word that came out of her mouth.
-
“I’ll come back. I promise. Are you sure you’re ok with leaving Gift?” Ed might need it for protection. But if he could manage without it, Jenny likely needed it too.
-
Jenny nodded. He was listening. Something in her was disappointed by that. She shoved that feeling down, then kissed Ed again. It was selfish. He’d feel drained of life when she touched him. She couldn’t give up this opportunity, though. This might be the last time they could be together. No, it wouldn’t be the last. She would come back to him. No matter the cost, she would see him again.
-
“Yes. I wish it wasn’t, but I love you. I can’t let you die because I want you by my side.” Jenny couldn’t even pretend to smile. This was the hardest thing she’d had to do on the quest. It felt even worse than being electrocuted had.
-
“I do need your help, Ed. I really do. I just need you to stay alive more.” Jenny held Ed’s hand tightly, terrified that it would be the last time she could do that.
-
Jenny grabbed his hand and tugged him over to a new table. She then started speaking immediately, not giving herself time to go back on her decision. “Ed, I’m getting worried about you. You seem like you’re hurting a lot. I think…” Her voice started trembling and she squeezed her eyes shut. “I think you need to go back to camp. I really don’t want you to leave, but at least this way I know I can see you again. I think I’m gonna lose you if you stay. And if I lose you, I lose myself, too.” That last part wasn’t Jenny’s primary reason for wanting Ed to be safe, but she knew that it could help convince him to leave.

@RoyalBeeMage Jenny looked over at Ed sitting next to her as the other couple spoke to Ares. Suddenly, realization struck her like a chimera claw to the gut. She knew why she didn’t want to go to the amusement park with him. Ed was hurt. He was in pain, he couldn’t walk, couldn’t fight. He couldn’t protect himself, and Jenny might not always be able to. If he stayed on the quest, he wasn’t going to make it. ”Can I talk to you over there?” Jenny gestured to a corner of the restaurant devoid of people. @Weaver of Lies

Jenny just shook her head, not making eye contact with anyone. She grabbed Ed's hand with her gloved one to try and tell him that she didn't want to push him away.

Weird. Maybe it was a good date spot. Jenny glanced at Ed. They hadn't been on a date yet; this would be the perfect excuse for one. She almost volunteered them, but something in her made her stop. "I think Lucid and Ashton should go." @Wierdo @Anguished_One
-
"Where are they?" Odd that Ares couldn't go get it himself. Maybe he was lazy. There was no way that Jenny would imply that to his face, however.
-
Jenny nodded again. ”What do you need us to get?”
-
Ares didn’t immediately smite her, thankfully. Her best course of action now was to do everything she could to avoid disrespecting him again. Just keep quiet. She silently nodded.
-
Jenny was already strangely more irritable than usual, so the god’s presence served to exasperate that. ”What do you want?” She said this in a far harsher tone than usual. She then proceeded to slap a hand over her mouth in horror. She’d just been rude to a god. Ares in particular was not one you wanted to anger.
-
Jenny looked over, the breath escaping her chest. Ares was in this diner. The god of war himself. Standing, right there. And he was talking to them. That couldn’t be good. Something in her implored that it was best for her to shut her mouth and listen. She figured that was a good idea.

Nope. I’ve had two graduations so far (high school and community college) but have ~2 years left until I graduate from university, unless I decide to go to grad school. TPBM wore mismatched socks today.

"He made eye contact with you, then ran outside." Was that Jenny's fault? He'd done that after she'd made him break eye contact. She'd scared him away, hadn't she? She didn't make a move to follow Terrance. That would probably just drive him away even more. She didn't know if bringing him back was a good idea, anyways.
-
"It's ok Jace, it's just Terrance staring at you!" Jenny tried to forcibly get Terrance to break eye contact with Jace. @The Aspiring Archivist
-
"Terrance, stop that!" Jenny yelled at Terrance. Why was he being so cruel to Jace? He didn't deserve that at all. @The Aspiring Archivist
-
Jenny shrugged awkwardly, hoping that she wasn't interpreting the situation incorrectly. To be perfectly honest, she didn't get why Jace felt that way. Terrance clearly didn't seem to like him- that was obvious even to Jenny.
-
“Um…” Jenny was probably a poor choice for explaining this. She wasn’t even really sure what was going on. “Jace likes you? Romantically. I think? He was talking about couples and stuff…” @The Aspiring Archivist

Upon hearing this, Jenny peeked over the top of her booth, trying to discreetly watch the conversation.

Fell asleep at 4:30 am and woke up at 1 pm, doing surprisingly well. TPBM knows what an inductive proof is (I hate them).
