Did that mean Ashton knew she was a demigod? That would make things easier. It was hard news to break, sometimes. ”Have you been on your own for a while?”
-
“Great!” Jenny paused. ”Do you know what you are?” She shot a glance at Lucid, hoping he’d help her explain things if Ashton wasn’t familiar with demigod stuff. @Wierdo

“Nice to meet you, Ashton!” Jenny thought for a moment. ”Do you like tinkering with stuff and making really cool inventiony things?” If Ashton was actually a demigod, then it’d be nice to know whose kid she was. Hephaestus seemed like a good guess, based on what little she knew of her so far. Her line of questioning sounded rather awkward, but it wasn’t like anything else Jenny could say would be any less awkward.
-
Jenny eventually got bored of Timothy, so she carefully placed him in his little spot made by Aaron with a final goodbye pat on his head. She looked around, her eyes landing on the new girl. She should probably get to know her a bit better. ”Hello! What’s your name?” @Anguished_One @Wierdo
-
That probably meant that Ed liked it. Her gift had been successful. ”You’re welcome!” Jenny then went back to quietly messing with Timothy, wanting to let Ed do whatever he’d been doing without her distracting him.
-
Jenny held up a smoothly carved, thin, and slightly bent stick. ”I know you like pasta, so I made you a pasta!” She was grinning, incredibly proud of what she’d created. It was nowhere near what Ed could do, but she still was quite pleased.
-
Jenny waited for a moment longer, impatiently squirming. Ed didn’t look like he was going to stop tinkering soon, so she eventually decided to tap him on the shoulder to get his attention.
-
Jenny finished her masterpiece and oriented herself to how she’d been sitting before. She hid it behind her back and waited for Ed to finish whatever he was doing. Hopefully he’d like what she made.
-
Now that Ed was distracted, Jenny turned away, retrieved her branch, and unsheathed Sword. She started whittling away at it, sticking her tongue out of the side of her mouth in focus. She wasn’t as good as Ed at this, but her plan wasn’t very complicated.
-
Jenny grinned stupidly. ”I love you too.” She snapped off a particularly thick part of a branch and stuffed it in her bag, Timothy nearly tumbling off her head in the process. She decided to leave the dog in her lap instead for the time being. She couldn’t risk him getting broken.
-
Jenny eventually regained her composure and uncurled from her ball, feeling rather embarrassed. No one else seemed to have been freaked out by the fall. Well, no one else had screamed, at least. She couldn’t discern much more beyond that. She started to mess with Timothy some more, at one point balancing it on top of her head. @Weaver of Lies
-
Jenny had curled up into a ball, absolutely panicking. Caught off guard by the sudden drop, her scream had joined that of the gawkers below. She hadn’t considered the fact that they would fall from so high up. It was just as terrifying as she’d imagined. At least they were underground, now. That was her preferred terrain.

The jacket didn’t seem to help at all, but Jenny didn’t mention that to Ed. “There has to be some way, but I have no idea what it would be. Maybe we can ask Jace about it later.” She looked up at Ed, and her eyes oddly seemed to be full of regret.
-
“I don’t think so. Just let me know if I start to act dead or something, I guess.” She lowered her voice. ”The voice isn’t gone. It still speaks to me sometimes. Maybe it’s dead, in a way. But that would make it more than just a voice, since it’d have to somehow be physically present…” Jenny shivered, both at that thought and from the cold. Being dead was somehow starting to feel like the best case scenario.
-
“I think maybe the possession did something to me. I don’t remember all of it, though.” Jenny appreciated Ed’s warmth greatly. She snuggled closer. ”Nothing feels wrong apart from a headache and being really tired. That stuff’s not out of the ordinary, though.” It felt like something was being taken from her, but that didn’t feel important enough to say out loud.
-
Jenny felt cold to the touch. She was glad that Ed didn’t seem to be panicking; he had enough to deal with already. She was certainly panicking, however. Whatever was going on, it went against everything she stood for as a child of Hades. Had she accidentally messed with her necromancy too much? Maybe the possession had done something to her. She’d been so careful. This couldn’t be her fault.
-
Jenny nodded. ”I appreciate that. This is not something that’s supposed to happen.” She looked paler than usual. It was unclear if that was from her fear or some other reason. She hugged Timothy to her chest, feeling cold.
-
Jenny uncurled her fingers around the gem, revealing its glow. She held it up to her head, then moved it away, demonstrating how she had discovered that she was the source of the glow. ”There a ten percent chance I’m dead and ninety percent chance something incredibly strange in going on with me.”
-
“Thank you.” Jenny kept Timothy in her lap, not wanting to put him in his spot just yet. She hesitated for a moment, then pulled out her gem. ”I, um, need to tell you something. Please don’t freak out.” (I got ninja’d like three times y’all, ignore this until it fits the timeline)
-
Jenny waved cheerfully. Best to treat the girl kindly in case she wasn’t a monster. Jenny knew what it was like to be accused of being a monster.
-
Jenny gasped softly in amazement. She gently patted Timothy on the head. ”This is one of the best things I’ve ever seen.” She said this with complete sincerity. It was unfortunate that the dog couldn’t look like this forever, but she was more than happy with his cruder form.
