  1. Jenny breathed a sigh of relief when Aaron carried Edgar away. She sprinted towards the Big House. She was fast, faster than one might expect. While her build was rather skinny, it seemed like she had the athleticism of someone more muscular. Her breathing grew ragged quicker than it normally did, however. She was admittedly drained, and she could only push herself so far above her limit. She had lost sight of Edgar, so she had no idea how he was doing. She hadn’t felt this worried about someone for a long time. She almost glanced at the ruby in her pocket. No, it wasn’t that bad. He was fine. Well, he would be fine. He had to be. She’d make sure he was ok, and- You’re a child of death. You don’t bring life. You can’t bring life. You destroy. ”No, no, I’m going to help him. I can help him!” You’ll kill him, eventually. Remember what happened last time? I know you do. Quit lying, Jenny. You hate lying, remember? Jenny forced the voice out of her mind and continued to run. @RoyalBeeMage @Weaver of Lights @The Clarinetist
  2. Jenny wavered for a moment, but eventually gave in and drank the rest of the nectar. Edgar was right that drinking any more of it would probably just harm him. Her wounds healed until they were superficial. The nectar could do nothing for her worry, unfortunately.
  3. She looked down at her arm, having completely forgotten about her injuries. She now noticed the stinging feeling from the burn again. It wasn’t at all pleasant, but it was bearable. She didn’t drink from the bottle and held it back out to Edgar. ”I don’t need my arm to walk.” She gently tapped her cheek to see how deformed it still was. The resulting pain made her immediately regret that, although she managed to show none of it outwardly. ”Or my face. Besides, I’m a Hades kid, I’ll be fine.” Jenny didn’t want to add to his worry. @Scars of Hathsin @The Clarinetist
  4. Jenny tried to smile back, but only in an attempt to reassure him. Despite drinking what she assumed was nectar, his smile was still weak. She looked over at Aaron and impatiently nodded her head towards Edgar, attempting to subtly ask him to hurry up. It was not at all subtle. @Scars of Hathsin “Do you know where…” Jenny trailed off as Harold ran away. Normally she would’ve run after him, make sure he wasn’t running through camp alone, but under no circumstances would she leave Edgar’s side at that moment. Harold really seemed to enjoy running.
  5. Jenny’s concern began to escalate into fear. Edgar couldn’t even stand. He’d seemed mostly ok a few minutes ago, which meant he was getting worse. That could mean they were running out of time. She spoke to Aaron. “Please go quickly, Edgar really needs help.” The worry had leaked into her voice. @The Clarinetist @Scars of Hathsin
  6. Aaron was the last person Jenny had expected to see. ”Hi Aaron!” She paused awkwardly. He probably thought they were fleeing or giving up. ”A giant ant attacked,” She held up the mandible. “Edgar got hurt, and we found a new guy. We’re on our way to introduce him to Chiron. Aaron, Harold. Harold, Aaron.” She paused awkwardly again. “We, um, had to quit defending our flag.” Jenny desperately hoped that Aaron wouldn’t be mad. @Weaver of Lights @The Clarinetist
  7. Jenny, of course, didn’t notice that in the slightest. She was just happy Edgar was letting her help. She kept an eye on Harold, watching for any obvious signs of a freak-out. There was a solid chance he was currently in denial. @The Clarinetist
  8. “You don’t need to apologize.” Jenny held out her arm for him. Why did he feel guilty? He’d gotten hurt when fighting by blocking the ant to protect Jenny. He hadn’t done anything wrong. @The Clarinetist
  9. Jenny ran over to him, concerned. Edgar really wasn’t doing well, and at this rate he was only going to injure himself more. She spoke to him quietly, trying not to embarrass him in front of Harold. ”Please let me help you.” @The Clarinetist
  10. Luna Jenny had forgotten that Chiron was a known mythological figure. Harold must've known quite a bit about Greek mythology already, then. He seemed to be taking it alright. "A lot of demigods have felt the same way. I'm sorry getting chased into camp was how you had to find this all out." @Weaver of Lights
  11. Jenny felt a pang of guilt, realizing that she should have saved some of her ambrosia for Edgar. He'd been hurt worse. "Do you need any help walking?" "Yes." At least they weren't going to have to explain a half-horse man to Harold. Odd that he knew Chiron was a centaur but had no clue about the gods' existence, though.
  12. Jenny resumed her walking, glad that Edgar had gotten her hint. She'd grown up with a greater understanding of what she was than many other demigods, but had seen that fulling realizing what you were was difficult for some others. "C'mon, we better make it to Chiron before he's busy with the game ending." @The Clarinetist
  13. Jenny stopped. She shot a glance at Edgar. "I think Chiron can explain this all to you best." She had no idea what to say that wouldn't just completely overwhelm the kid.
  14. Jenny was used to being hated too, and would be able to handle it fine. Still, she was sad that she would miss out on the opportunity to make more friends. Aaron had seemed nice. She started to walk towards where Chiron would be, her customary smile having faded a bit. She looked back at Harold. "Demigods can eat it to heal themselves, although we can't have too much. It'll make you sick." @The Clarinetist
  15. Jenny thanked Edgar, then ate her ambrosia slowly, careful to avoid eating it too quickly. She didn't want to make herself feel sick. It tasted like pomegranate. After watching her skin slowly knit back together, the flesh un-withering, she turned to Harold. "I'm glad you didn't get hurt. We should probably start heading back to camp." She looked at their completely undefended flag. "I hope the rest of the team won't be too angry about this."
  16. When the glowing guy walked in, Eza’s attention was immediately drawn towards him. He was making a display of power she hadn’t seen in the Mistwarrens before. The man didn’t seem to stare at them directly, which made her somewhat more comfortable. She continued to watch him out of the corner of her eye, however. It was common sense to distrust anyone who stood out like that in the warrens. He stopped glowing, and Eza had no idea if that was a good or bad thing. He moved out of her peripheral vision, and she was forced to quit watching him. She didn’t want her attention to be diverted away from the two people she was standing in front of, particularly now that Lum had gone to the bar. What was Lum doing, anyways? She waited for Lum to return, awkwardly trying to act not-weird while remaining silent in front of Itsuki and Chloris. She kept her hands at her sides, resisting the urge to pull out one of her many trinkets and start fiddling with it. @Stormlightsong @Koloss17 @Ravenclawjedi42
  17. Jenny nearly winced in sympathy at Edgar’s pained reaction. Hopefully acid hadn’t gotten into any of his cuts. “We also need to get Edgar’s wounds looked at.” She glanced at her arms again. They didn’t look too terribly great. As a child of Hades, Jenny was naturally more durable and resistant to pain than most other demigods, so she wasn’t too bothered by it. But she was only 75% sure that white area wasn’t bone. ”I suppose my injuries need medical attention, too.”

  20. My legs to MeLaan, I’d rather have use of my hands. WYR own an aviar or a larkin?
  21. Granted. The ozone layer is absent directly above wherever you are. I wish for a couch.
  22. That was good. Jenny had learned that she really didn’t enjoy fighting acid monsters. She stuck out her hand for a handshake, briefly becoming distracted by the burns on her arm. ”I’m Jenny. Nice to meet you!” @Weaver of Lights
  23. This one’s a bit better: What do you call someone with no body and no nose?
  24. Jenny held up the mandible. ”Any more giant acid ants? Acid beetles, maybe?” @The Clarinetist
  25. Jenny was about to insist that she was fine and note that Edgar seemed to be doing fairly worse, but the kid returning drew her attention away. Why had he returned? Had he gotten lost? Were there more monsters where he had fled to? She fetched the mandible so they would have proof that there was a giant ant and kept watch for more monsters over the kid’s shoulder. @The Clarinetist
