    Star smiled. Liar. Kelsier wouldn't sleep this early, she thought to herself. Jasnah might not let her get past but... "Lift! Aunt Star is here!"

    Star didn't like Jasnah much. She ignored her bigotry. "I would like to speak with Kelsier."

    Star gave a humph and walked to Kelsier and Jasnah's house. She knocked on the door.

    But Star was an immortal Narrator and so was only mildly annoyed by the poison. "That's. Not. Funny," she growled. They were not doing a very good job of convincing her to stay. And she didn't want the chicken.

    Star blinked. No. She couldn't return to TLT. But Thought had been born by a cabbage fight in TLPW. She was tempted to join once more. "A challenge, then," she decided. "Convince me."

    Hey, I have short hair! Kind of. It's growing out right now, probably needs a trim. But I like to keep it a few inches below my ears.

    Ruby was a morning person. She probably hadn't been the first one up, but she had been up early. She had smelled the pancakes coming in from a little bit of soccer practice in the dewy morning, but had gone to the living room afterward. She sat there, reading a book for English.
