    GUYS I DID IT. First of all I'd like to thank @Ookla the Very Handsome for convincing me to finish this drawing. It was really really hard to do and I got super discouraged about halfway through, but I'm so glad that I finished it because it turned out so well! I decided to use ink on her hair because it's darker than her skin and I didn't want to have to press super hard with my pencil. Her hair is made of metal so I had to do reflections on it and... they actually look okay. Anyway, to you guys it might just be another drawing from me, but this seriously wouldn't exist without you guys and your support. I would not be the artist I am without all of you. Cheers and have a happy Thanksgiving!

    *sigh* If you want it that much I might try and work on what I have some more, but don't get your hopes up too much. It won't be as realistic as Star or Xino, just 'cause of all the detail that needs to go into her face. And.. I'm curious, why do you want Ember anyway?

    I've been thinking about the Keyed and what their first lives were like so I give you Tami and Samika. Tamika doesn't particularly like wearing fancy stuff, but I found this really pretty dress that I couldn't resist drawings, so I had to put it on her. Sorry, Tami. As for Samika, tinkering is a little hobby of hers and I have a headcanon that she studied under Tom for a while. I really enjoyed drawing these.

    Ember looked on awkwardly. "Star," she said. "About... mental shielding?" "Oh. Yes. You can do it, right?" "Yes." "Heather, would you be okay with that?"

    Star sighed shakily. "Well, for now, just make sure you take care of yourself. It's draining to have that many holes in your spirit web. But you've got all of us, okay?"

    But her arms passed through Star's projected form. Tears welled up in Star's eyes. "We'll bridge the universes back together, I promise. And then I can give you that hug." She smiled tearfully.

    Ruin? Ember thought. What is Ruin? Star looked on Heather with deep sympathy and almost started crying herself from the vicarious sorrow she felt. "Oh, Heather." She sighed. "I... We... Hmmm..." Star thought for a moment. "It's likely that Ember could shield you, mentally." Ember considered. That would be... helping. She could help! Star continued to think. "Tom is pretty overpowered for a character," she muttered. "Ember, Xino, and I are Narrators. We've all seen combat before, so I wouldn't worry that much you about hurting us. I'm more worried about you. I mean... I have forcefields. If things get dicey, we could always lock you in one of those until the blood frenzy passes." She left out the part about her also taking damage if the forcefield got excessively battered. She didn't use forcefields all that much for a reason. But it would be worth it for Heather.

    Star smiled grimly. "I know, sweetheart. And I'm sorry. I know how much it hurts, I really do, but drinking just isn't going to help you. In the end, you'll only be causing yourself more pain. You have to understand that I wouldn’t tell you to do anything without your very best interest in mind. I care about you. I really do. You’ll make an effort for me? Please?” Star put all the authenticity she possibly could into her words. Keeping her eyes on Heather was hard. She wanted to look away from the shine of those all-too-familiar eyespikes. And yet, the very memories that made her want to turn away made it that much easier to look on her with love. She felt absolutely sick with herself. No one deserved the pain that hemalurgy came with. Least of all poor, innocent little Heather. Ember watched Star carefully. How was she always so kind and patient? She recalled something Heather had said to her once. "I know you're just a hot spark waiting to burn..." Ember clasped her hands behind her back, hanging her head in shame. She felt incredibly uncomfortable and out of place, but she didn't dare ask for Star to dismiss her, for fear that she might be speaking out of turn.
