  1. Eh, it's TLT. But... Astral's pretty ticked off right now. Astral dropped the sword, letting it fade to mist at her feet. She fell to her knees and wept, blocking out the entire world. She healed her eyes. The pain - her self punishment - was too much for her.
  2. Sophie was... mildly annoyed, but still protected. Astral, however, got up off her feet and summoned a Shardblade to her hands, one made of black iron. "Get. Out," she growled.
  3. Sophie and Aqua were protected by her forcefield. And Astral didn't even notice.
  4. Astral got on her hands and knees and wretched, regurgitating the carcass of a small rabbit. She wiped the spittle from her black lips. "I told you," she hissed, "I can't. Eat. Normal. FOOD!" She proceeded to claw her eyes out again, but this time she decided to leave them raw and unhealed. Screaming in pain and in hunger, she curled into a ball and faded into half sobs half cackles.
  5. Astral screamed and started crying. "Oh," she groaned. "Oh, Author!" Then she snarled and clawed at the ground, hissing violently as her hair floated her around her head, black locks jerking unnaturally.
  6. "I can't eat normal food!" Astral cried. "Don't you think I've tried that, you fool?! What do you think all this blood is from?!"
  7. TVG nodded her head in agreement. Well played. Meanwhile, Astral was lying on the ground. The crimson blood of a few unfortunate woodland creatures was splattered all over her dress and face. She was drooling. "So... hungry..." she muttered to herself. "Need... sorrow..."
  8. Sophie giggled despite herself and ran her fingers over Aqua's smooth top. "She's got a personality, that's for sure," she said.
  9. Sophie shook her head. "No... We'd still have to go to the mountain 'cause Xino's there. And he's hurt." Edit: She considered after being ninjaed. "That could work. But we've gotta wait for Aqua."
  10. "But she can't lead me if she's tired... And she's already said we can't teleport there."
  11. Sophie chuckled. "I think it's a place not you," she said. She looked at FT. "Shhh," she said. "Aqua gets worn out quickly." She rolled the little dim ball close to her and started stroking the sphere's surface. "She's kinda rude, but I don't think that's her fault. It must be hard not having limbs and a head... Or a body."
  12. Sophie shrugged uncomfortably. "I mean... I know Xinoehp is on a mountain. And... that's basically it." She blushed. "Aqua's leading me there, I guess."
  13. "But... I'll never be in charge. Even if I go to CBST, Star's the one running everything, she keeps the plot going. And... Aqua is a daughter of Fate, so she knows what she's doing."
  14. Another Author as in another other than TVG. And you can only have one Author. That's the very nature of an Author. "Well..." Sophie said, "I don't quite know what the plan is. Aqua is more in charge than I am..."
  15. I'm talking about you. You as an Author reading her thoughts. Sophie smiled slightly.
  16. At first I was like, "Eh, Sophie would probably talk like that," but then she wanted me to edit it so... Heh. Sophie blushed harder, remembering that she was in the presence of another Author. And Authors could read thoughts.
  17. "Well... yeah, that might be nice, but..." Sophie blushed. She had imagined saving Xinoehp and gloriously given him True Love's Kiss. That now seemed very silly. And now with everyone else...
  18. "Ummm... Well, I don't know. Aqua is asleep, but... I think maybe this might have supposed to have been a stealth mission...." She blushed. The exact same thing had happened to Star when she'd first tried to rescue him from the mimes. Maybe that was a sign...
  19. "Well, I'm afraid of getting hurt. Star, her spirit was so broken that it started showing physically; she got all these burns on her body and they hurt her so bad that she wanted to die. Wouldn't that be awful to be in that much pain? I... I couldn't handle that. A while ago, I got bitten by a withergeist. And it hurt a lot... Another time, someone made me go deaf... That hurt a lot too. Sometimes I feel like people just don't like me. But... Michael - he's a mime - he saved me. And Jay was really sweet. And Leaf was nice to me... So I don't think that's very valid. But..." She sighed, thinking. "You know... I think I would want to be a part of CBST, just for the people. It'd be so cool to meet the rest of my family, see my heritage. It's just... it's scary..." Edit: "And yes, Leaf, I think you can come with us." @Ookla the Sesquipedalian
  20. "I'm gonna... try and save them... I guess... 'Cause... if I don't try then... Then I'm really a coward."
  21. Sophie considered. "I mean... Kind of? I guess? I feel really bad about letting Xinoehp go and try to rescue Trewee without me. And now... now they're both almost dead." She teared up. "I gotta save them. Ember and Star are heroes and I'm just... I'm just me. I gotta do better. Even though... I'm really scared. Really scared." She sighed glumly, then took a giant bite of her cupcake.
  22. Sophie made a hole in her forcefield so she could take the cupcake, then quickly closed it up again. She took a bite and got some of the frosting on her nose and giggled. "Yeah," she said as she chewed. "I mean," - she took a moment to swallow - "she made me more Sentient than them and that's something I'm really glad about. If I wasn't Sentient, my mind would explode from all the character theory I read about. Star and Ember wouldn't be able to wrap their heads around it." She took another bite. "Ember's light!" she exclaimed. "These are great!"
  23. Sophie glanced at FT. "Umm... Well, I was born here, I guess. Just your run-of-the-mill Narrator. I didn't like interacting with the plot because I knew what happened to Star, my eldest sibling. She... she had a really hard life because of Plot. So I just..." She shrugged. "I didn't even mention my own name for like a hundred pages after I was created. It wasn't until... oh... page 655. Yeah, page 655, that I really started showing my personality. That was when I met Xinoehp. I didn't like 'im. He was so addicted to the plot, he didn't get how terrible it was. But as I got to know him... He still annoyed me, but he... he was kinda cute." She smiled to herself. "TVG and Fate work pretty closely together, so I think my little crush is pretty natural. My mom's kids usually get along pretty well with his. I mean, Tom and Tamika are an adorable couple and Star and Pheo are a thing. Maybe it would work with... Xino and me." She blushed and her hair fluttered. "I met Silence later. It was funny, Xinoehp was super scared of him, but he was so... so awe-inspiring. It gets so loud here sometimes. It makes me scared. But when he came, he was able to make it quiet. I wanted that quiet. I wanted it really bad..." She trailed off picking at the grass. "TVG didn't want me to train with him though. She said he was the bad guy. I... still don't get why. But... my mom's not bad, she's just... protective. She's tried really hard recently to make up for what happened to Star. I don't like how Ember and Star worship her like a god, but... I get why they do it. And besides, she did let me pursue Silence later. She was just overprotective of me at first.... Xinoehp... he got me involved with the plot. I didn't want to be, but sometimes the words just happen, they just come out. My anxiety got really bad. Like... really bad. They started bullying me... I was so scared. It was... so... loud..." Tears coalesced in Sophie's eyes and she found she couldn't go on.
